How do FErs describe not being able to see across a plain forever? it just seems logical to me that you can't see forever because of the curve of the earth.

also, do they beleive that the earth is the only flat planet in the universe? or that they're all flat?

The atmosphere is not perfectly transparent.

I believe they think the earth is the only flat planet. Not sure about the scope of this argument (in the solar system, in the galaxy, in the universe, etc).

Also, the flat earth as an infinite plane has been discussed at length (though I still don't see how it is feasible). But it is one of multiple earth theories out there. Also, there is apparently bendy light which makes it look like the earth is round.

Would it be possible to have a rocket fly straight up and transmit images of the infinite horizon back to earth until it ran out of fuel? A good rocket could escape the imperfectly transparent atmosphere and see as far as the sun can shine. It could continue to climb until it ran out of fuel, but could see for many thousands of miles beyond our limited vision here on the surface. Would that be possible? If not, why not? If so, why hasn't it been done?

the thing I don't get is why do people think the earth is so special, it's coincidence that the planet happened to have the right climate for life to start... it's not special, it's just in the right place at the right time

Then it follows that you are not special. In fact, you may have been strained through a sheet.

I never said I was special, I don't quiet understand what you're trying to say here either.

Also, I still want to know if FErs think that other planets are flat...
