This is my first game of this sort, so tell me if there's anything not quite right about this.
Name: Icoberic Gmultin
("EYE-so-BER-ik MOOL-tin")
Gender: Male
Race: Elf
Class: Warlock
Subclass: Bard
Appearance: Light blue hair, bright red eyes and wearing clothing of the sort seen in Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Special abilities: Due to a spell gone wrong as a young lad in which my brain was accidentally fused with that of a bird, I have a perfect compass in my head and always know which direction is magnetic north.
History: I was abandoned here as a baby by my parents, and have never known them. I have wandered the country over the years, but always come back to Marodora, the place I call home.
Weapons: Axe.
Other items: 25 gold, a neverending coil of rope, and the stone of Nabopeioc, which absorbs magic from its surroundings and releases it all in one go when necessary. It may only be used once a fortnight or so (depending on how much magic is being used around it during that time), but strengthens any spell cast by a hundredfold when fully charged with magic.
Spells:
* Fire of Asphoxes - This is quite a versatile spell. It can be cast repeatedly in a fairly weak fashion to ignite lone trees and such, or it may be cast in a much stronger fashion, weakening its caster but causing a fireball the size of a large house to come down upon the enemy (or oneself, if miscast, which can easily happen when weak).
* Portable Lake - Produces a lake of icy cold salt water wherever needed, as geysers of the water will begin shooting up from solid earth when this spell is cast. Useful if the enemy is fighting from below, not so useful on mountains where the water will simply run down the slope.
* Total Annihilation - The name is misleading, as it will only totally annihilate fairly small armies. It requires several hours of mental preparation to cast, so is only useful when planning in advance and not in active combat, but it will cause a very large explosion in the midst of the enemy, killing the smaller armies and significantly weakening larger ones.
