MSH causes you to produce more melanin for the period of time it is in your system. This is fact and no one is debating it.

What is your point?

did i say anything about MSH being melanin??

answer my questions

there is ALOT that you dont know..and yo wont understand till you understand the fundamentals

the ONLY reason you guys have melanocytes is because is your ORIGINAL ancestor gave them to you...the pathway as to which NORMAL melanogenesis doesnt work..has been disrupted...

another question..

HOW do you think someone who once had the ability to produce MASS amounts of melanin...could LOSE that ability?

Good job.

The human body recreates hormones according to the genetic code of the body's DNA.

Your body wants you to be vitamin-D deficient, while mine has adapted to keep me as healthy as possible.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_105542.html

We've been over this before, vitamin d definiency is more likely to cause someone to die before they have a chance to have children than skin cancer.  Most cases of skin cancer don't occur until at least a person is in their 30s, whereas vitamin d deficiency can cause health problems for children of all ages.
I don't know what you're implying, but you're probably wrong.

well if thats the case...then we should ALL be the picture of health...but we arent, and the VIT D theory is an illusion. the fact is..is that maybe we need to stop using the"one size fits all" mentality. white think jus because theyre deficient...we ALL are.

Almost 7 percent of the white patients were vitamin D-deficient, compared with more than 32 percent of the black participants. Whites with too little Vitamin D had twice the risk of dying from stroke as whites with adequate levels of the vitamin

The findings held up even after accounting for a host of socioeconomic and stroke risk factors, such as a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, body-mass index, smoking, physical activity and/or alcohol use.

Blacks could have a natural resistance to the negative effects of vitamin D deficiency, Michos said. This could explain why blacks have fewer bone fractures than whites, despite the higher incidence of low vitamin D levels, Michos added.

what. do you mean how could someone who's ancestors had the ability, could not?
umm. by genetic mutation of exactly one base pair

Through adaptation. The farther people live from the equator, the fairer skin they are. This is no coincidence. More melanin in your skin means you will absorb less vitamin d. When you are at the equator and getting direct sunlight, this isn't an issue as there is loads of sunlight to be absorbed. However, the farther you move away, the less intense the sun is, meaning you need less melanin in your skin to get the appropriate amount of vitamin d.

This.
Somewhere along the line one person had a mutation that caused light skin, and they survived, and their children had a better chance of survival than the others

Without serious things happening, they couldn't.

They may stop making it, but they don't lose the ability to.

This is a good point.

Stop making melanin != losing the ability to make melanin.

no the original woman didnt lose her pigment do to...the ability to absorb vit D this is the ONLY mute argument you have and its VERY weak...lol you guys are missing the point..

genetically..we are diffrent...you have no father..you are the missing link...lol

you are an incomplete hybrid grafted race who operates OUTSIDE of nature.

ur roots can be traced to the original black woman (mtDNA eve)...w/ nooo black father soo HOW did you get here

I don't know, but it probably had something to do with having less melanin than you or something.

Or maybe I'm Jesus, and it was immaculate conception.

Because unlike you, the rest of us have lives and do things on the weekend: going places, getting drunk, working out, having sex, partying, etc. etc. etc.

...."absorb vit(sic) D" huh? WTF are you talking about?

genetically..we are diffrent...

Yes, by about .1%

you have no father..you are the missing link...lol

Are you on something? I have a father, because I have a Y Chromosome. Have you had sex ed at school yet?

you are an incomplete hybrid grafted race who operates OUTSIDE of nature.

Here we go with the insane racist ramblings again.

ur roots can be traced to the original black woman (mtDNA eve)...w/ nooo black father soo HOW did you get here

Well, by your logic, mitochondrial Eve would have had to reproduced asexually, via clonal division or something, which would make white people clones of black mitochondrial Eve. Can you see the terminal logic fail in what you are saying yet?

Lol, you think we have no father because men can't pass their mitchondria on? Please learn basic biology.

I also am going to laugh at an african american insinuating that I have no father. Judging by the rates of single mother's raising kids in African Americans versus caucasians, you are much more likely to have no father.

noo doe doe...i say u have no father cos you dont @ least one who originates from the ORIGINAL black man...lol no what you have is a hybrid mutant graaaafted Y that came and settled..in africa.

im speaking about the scientific evidence that coretates w/ what my ancestors say about u ppl

you ppl are babies to this planet..discovering things that were ALREADY here to begin w/. Weve been here loong enough to remember how we got here AND how you got here

that MAINLY deals w/ the diffrences in HOW we absorb our energy...since you CANT get away from that one simple, VERY important environmental fact

and i CANT even get into this until you understand that if you have to
inject a synthetic substance (MSH)
to get what "black" ppl are able to obtain naturally...because the pathway as to which has been disrupted due to devolution and genetic manipulation..you are working on the OUTSIDE of nature..there is nothing evolution about pale skin..the only thing that is evolutionary about that is....aquiring the knowlege as to how to get it back...and its STILL incomplete cos melanogensis STARTS in the brain.

the CNS is the FIRST system the develop...moor specifically the pituitary along w/ the pineal...deal w/ HOW one is able to deal in NATURE...if that pathway is disrupted...ur screwed..evidenced by the fact that this chick has to bypass the brain to get jus a little bit of what she is suppose to have  and be able to do NATURALLY

MSH is the hormone that originates in the BRAIN (pituitary) not the skin...MSH is what sets off melanogenesis in the skin and when the sun hits the skin provides an extra "TAN" in normal "black" ppl

if pathway has been DISRUPTED your skin burns, peels, reddens, you cant absorb the suns rays cos the color refracts and reflects the sun...you CANT use this form of energy AT ALL...even if you dont get skin cancer...the repair mechinism ALLOWS you to carry the mutations (that come when the sun hits you skin)...inyour system for long periods of time..and you pass these harmful mutations on to your offspring cos you LACK the genetic diversity (NUCLEAR) melanin to get rid of these mutations
