Yes, there is an hda, but it keeps wanting to do something with hdb and I have no idea what.
I should stop posting.
So I've got an old Compaq Presario Intel Celeron 700mhz, 128mb RAM computer sitting around, and I want to get it up running with a decent linux distro for my step siblings--so it needs to be user friendly. I've already tried a few different distros, and haven't really found one I liked yet:Xubuntu was slow as hell, and the wireless networking was iffyGentoo was a no-go; Live CD wouldn't get past the mounting stagePuppy Linux worked fine, and installed OK, but the gui is kind of amateurish and I don't know if the kids would be able to use it very wellSliTaz also wouldn't work.Any other suggestions? I suppose I'll try DSL next, but that's about all I know of so far.
We're all jealous of Raist.
Nomad is a superhero.
Turns out there is only one physical drive, but all these livecds kept interpreting the zip drive as a hard drive. As soon as I unplugged it, everything is working fine. What the hell.Don't like DSL. Going to keep looking at others!
