To Fellow Round Earthers
« on: June 05, 2009, 05:15:18 PM »
I lurked on these forums for a little over a year now, I never contributed to these forums because it always felt like a waste of time. But just watching RE'ers debate FE'ers over the past few months really made me think; Has any RE'er on this site even thought for one second there being trolled? And even if not, whats the point of trying to debate them if you (we) KNOW there wrong? Do you feel like your doing a good deed by saving these people from there own paranoid beliefs? Its not like they can do any harm, and really I'm quite glad these kinds of people exist. Its good to know that we don't live in an ever-constant state of fear from an imaginary enemy and conspiracy backed only by pseudo-science that FE'ers pull out of there ass.

What am I saying, exactly? Why don't we just leave them to wallow in there own mess of a reality? Just leave.

Liar!  No one resists this level of trolling for a full year.

If enlightenment is not what you seek, you are always free to ignore our arguments. Besides... brainwashed people, like the vast majority of RE'ers who come here, rarely listen to us with an open mind. RE'ers' stunted and flawed views are actually an annoyance to me, and I'd gladly be rid of them.

You do realise that for all your derogatory comments on here and the time it took you to register you could have had almost five minutes of an ordinary life. Such a waste don't you think.

I hear a lot of people referring to trolling. Can anyone please explain this to me as i am new to the inter web and all the diff jargon. I think discussion here is good and as a believer of the flat earth i feel we are in the majority not just here but in the world. Its only the conspiracy in the media that holds this fact back i feel.

Its not like I spent day after day on here, more like coming back once every couple of weeks, or even once a month.

Someone who posts a provocative message on a board with the soul intention of causing an argument, or to just be a jerk. And you would be very wrong about being the majority  ;)

This place is great. Whenever I get bored I know I can come here for some entertainment.
Use FES.org as a place for mental exercise.

While I believe that many FE'ers on this site are particpating just for a laugh....a "thought experiment" as it were....I'm still pretty certain there are genuine believers.

I don't often contribute, more often than not because any questions I would ask, or answers I may give have already been posted.  I am, however, genuinely interested in their theories and beliefs.  As a scientist, Geologist no less, the concept of the earth being flat intrigues me.  Of course, it would take undeniable proof, greater than that which is available for a RE (which I've never seen, and am never likely to), to sway me from my RE belief.
