Journey to the great ice wall; will you join? (serious)

I am setting up an expidition. I was thinking of selling the ship, but I'm already quite wealthy and so far have not heard of a conspiracy to be involved with. So for the sake of the ship we shall put it to one last voyage.

It is an icebreaker. A link to it is here. These are the people I bought it off. It is under "Sale & Purchase" -> RoLo Arctic Iceclass. It is currently docked in Albany, Western Australia.

According to your theories, if we travel due South we will encounter a great ice wall.

I am calling for believers of this theory, particularly those with sea navigation experience to put forth their efforts. I have hired a captain who is willing to travel south, those who have the necessary navigation skills will join him and make sure it goes to plan. I will take part in the journey along with any others who think they can make a worthy contribution.

I will update when we can establish a date to leave. For now feel free to discuss the matter and put forth any questions and/or corrections to my plans. Keep in mind I am also aware of this government body and the risks involved.

I live in Mt. Barker, which is right next to Albany, is there any way I can see the ship?

Yes, it is likely you have already seen it then. Even if you just visited Albany. It is positioned towards the south end of King George Sound and has been there for about 6 months now. I was using it for commercial purposes, my reason for selling it was because of the other commercial ships my company run that are being put to better use. It looks like you just joined the forum so I'm not sure if you are serious (as I'm sure many people think I am not, I assure you I am). If you are, perhaps we could talk some day soon. I'll get in contact with you when my week clears up a bit. I'll keep looking for other replies in the meantime.

I'd love to come along but I have no money and live on the other side of the world. If the departure date is fairly far in the future I could probably scrape the funds for a plane ticket to Australia or something.

Well I'd like to talk about it but I'm only 15 so I probably can't really help you and I read this site often I just signed up because you mentioned Albany and that's something I actually know about :P
I must admit I don't believe the word is flat, but then again I don't know that I'm not in the matrix either so I'm keeping an open mind.

My topic was not set up to debate that, rather to prove or disprove the theory through practical and possible means. If you want to join the seeming never-ending debate then please move to a different topic.

Oh, and as for the question above, I'm certain we won't be taking off any time soon; the ship takes a long time to prepare in the first place, and the nature of this voyage will simply increase that time.

I live in the midwestern US and have all the documentation to work a US flagged ship (MMD, STCWs, fire, first aid, and CPR trained) I'm a RE'er but I'd be willing to go, be respectful and help out any way I can, maybe be a devils advocate for the RE population?

i'd love to go, just for the shear joy of watching the FE'ers on board collapse in the fetal position and begin to cry uncontrollably when you land on antartica

It would be interesting to see. heres a thought  when you goto this great ice wall . try going around it taking  compass readings as well as sexton readings of the constilations. of course if this was done it  would destroy the theory of the earth being flat .
ust say No to drugs , looks like some missed that message .

Landing on antarctica wouldn't disprove anything about the FE theory except some views of the government wall patrol.

What are you planning on doing once you arrive at the ice wall / antarctica? Will you dismount and continue your trek south on foot, in hopes of reaching the edge?

I would say the objective woulf be to follow the ice around until you reach your starting point, however long a distance that is.

And this would prove what? After all, you would end up back where you started if you followed the edge of the ice wall all the way around the earth.

Methinks if this 'ice wall' exist, you won't be able to walk up it without some man-made structure...so if you do see it, it'd be rather obvious. Take pictures, and maybe I'll believe you. But if you find Antartica, I want a 10 Page apology.

How would antarctica be distinguishable from the ice wall, exactly?

This is possible in a flat earth too, it would just take you 72,000 miles.

The trek should continue inland in straight line, starting due South, if you eventually find yourself at the ocean again you have crossed Antarctica and disproved FE. If you fall off the edge of the earth you will prove FE.

Just watch out for the guards and the penguins!!

PS. Swing the boat past Melbourne and pick me up on the way through!

Antartica isn't one massive 'sleek' wall. It would have actual landmass, covered by snow/ice for the winter months of the year. During the spring/summer, the coast of Antartica isn't that bad of a place.

Neither is the ice wall, as I understand it. I never imagined it as a shear 150 foot ice cliff, but more as the FAQ describes it; a vast plane of ice.

Wouldn't the force of the water be equal in all directions, forming a perfect circle?

Nah.

North america isn't a circle. Neither are the other continents, as far as I know.

As far as you know? Well is you've never mapped them out yourself, then it could be a lie.

Yep, that's why I only stated with certainty the nature of the continent I've seen for myself.

But the fact remains, if a constant force a perfect circle makes, then North America would be a perfect circle. Since it isn't, it's safe to assume there is something wrong with the "constant force = circle" proposition.

What "constant force" is on North America that would turn it into a circle?

I thought the FE theory was that the pressure from the ocean "pressured cooled" water to from the ice wall. If this was the case it would be a circle.
