Ah, but none of those threads give a good FE explanation for Foucalt's pendulum. The FE'ers wave their hands, say "rotational gravitational pull", and then start talking about linear motors.

I think this is still a subject that demands explanation. Can anyone answer the OP?

I would love to see an FE'r solve for an inverted pendulum...
