OK, now will you tell us exactly which experiments you reproduced and how they showed the earth to be flat?

I reproduced the convexity experiments described in Earth Not a Globe across 12 miles of Lake Tahoe in California. By placing a telescope near the water's edge with the eye piece pointing up I was able to kneel down and observe the water splashing up on the on the opposite coast. If the earth were a globe with a circumference of 24,859.82 miles and a radius of 3963.17 miles there should have been a hill of water about 96 feet high in my way.

There wasn't.

Quote
Tom, if you really want us to believe your experiments are valid. Why don't you film yourself conducting them and then show us.

I couldn't care less about what you believe.

OK, now will you tell us exactly which experiments you reproduced and how they showed the earth to be flat?

I reproduced the convexity experiments described in Earth Not a Globe across 15 miles of Lake Toronto. By placing a telescope near the waters edge with the eye piece pointing up I was able to kneel down and observe the water splashing up on the on the opposite coast. If the earth were a globe there should have been a hill of water over a hundred feet high in my way. There wasn't.

You obviously care, or you wouldn't be trying to convince us that the flat Earth theory is true.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I don't care about what you believe at all. I'm merely answering some questions.

What were the atmospheric conditions at the time?  Could your observation be explained by a superior mirage?  How powerful was your telescope?  How did you determine the 12 mile distance?

Of course the earth is flat!
My theorem has recently proven that, and disproven the fact it is round.

I am happy to debate the subject.

Yes, I've read some of it.  I have yet to be convinced that the earth is flat.

Ok that was childish of me to make a stupid come-back like that, I didn't expect it to do anything.

But yes I have read some of the stuff that you have as proof and yes I have yet to become convinced that the world is flat. If you give me proof, not documents of experiments and theories (I mean you Tom), then I might have a second opinion over a round Earth. As with the conspiracy, I have a hard time believing that all the world governments (or most of them) could be this controlling, and for a flat Earth to be kept secret for over 200 years and no clues ever slipped by politicians or amatures discovering something, I just have a hard time believing that the world could be flat.

Uh, documentation of experiments and peer reviews of experiments is proof.

If the earth is flat,  it must have edges. ends where you couldn`t pass.

so if you think the earth is flat, you must start a trip around the earth always in the same directions, and you will realize that you will get your initial positions, this is imposible if the earth was flat.

Circumnavigation is possible on a flat earth.

The ends of the earth are the great ice wall.
The earth may extend beyond the Ice Wall (perhaps even infinitely) for all we know.

Tom doesn't know what anything is, he just likes to live in his own fantasy world.

It would be nice for a change to see Tom actaully say something original for once, and not repeating text... *sigh* but unfortunatly he has yet to prove anything to us, just to same old ranting over and over...

Why would I need to prove anything to you? I don't care what you believe about the shape of the earth.

But you do enjoy showing off your beliefes and documents you have found, so you do take pride in being a FE'er.

Tell me Tom, just wondering, did you ever believe the Earth was round? I'm just curious that's all.

Of course I do. That doesn't mean that I give a crap about what you believe, however.

At one point I believed that the earth was round. But once I saw the overwhelming evidence that it was not my opinion changed.

What led you to the evidence? I mean, did you just one day decide to question the earth being round?

A while ago CNN had a science segment about the subject which featured an interview with Charles K. Johnson. After looking into the subject further I ordered Earth Not a Globe from Amazon and began borrowing Flat Earth books from my local library.

you killing me, the ICE WALL? where is it?

are you serious when you said the earth may extend beyond your fantasy ICE WALL and even infinitely?

so, do you think is the sun and moon the ones who move around the earth?

if the earth is Flat you could see the entire "know world"(assuming your Ideas of the infinitive earth surface) from the sky.

I believe the earth is flat, because the government says its round. The Government is always lying to us, therefor the only logical conclusion is that it is flat.
I don't remember anything. Well, I do, but it's really vague. Like I was on drugs the whole time.

Filo you must be some sort of "rational" person.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/78/The_Blue_Marble.jpg

Notice that picture...do you see a sphere? No its a flat circle. Contrary to the belief of many, North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia (false continents shown on false made-up by the government to imprison us) don't exist. All land on Earth is contained on either Africa or the Saudi Arabian Peninsula.

That picture doesn't even remotely look flat.

Not to mention that photographs are take as a 2-D image, so they're bound to look a little flat.

Now if you look closley at the photograph, look around the edges, you will see the contents curve.
