Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth's biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense.

This is all I read and already I know I disagree with them.  Interesting group of people, though, I must say.

Regardless, you have sex, which no matter what always comes with the risk of "breeding".  If you were a true believer in it you wouldn't sleep with anyone.

Just because I feel that I deserve the right to wipe out the human race doesn't mean I feel I practice mindless indulgence. Plus, if I feel that I want to wipe out everyone, what's to say I didn't include EVERYONE?

They didn't say wipe out.  They meant they wanted everyone to stop breeding so the human race would naturally die out.

That's wiping out, just at a slower pace.

I'd rather just do it and get it over with.

I like how they believe a drop in population will not only end industrialized civilizations but it will also take us back to cave man level tools. I somehow doubt all knowledge will be lost.

Knowledge doesn't need to be lost, but less people means less specialists and our society is dependent on a high degree of specialization

I freaking love this idea! I love everything about it. Imagine if one generation of people even cut down the breeding? Not even stopped it! That would be amazing! Or if, for one year... no one had a baby. *sigh* i can dream.

What a bunch of morons.  The product of successful marketing, eco-guilt has become a powerful thing.  Apparently powerful enough to convince some idiots that the less evolved species on the planet are somehow better than us.

To be fair that is only half their point. The other far more convincing half focus on the fact that the majority of the worlds population lives in horrible conditions due at least in part to a lack of access to resources. Essentially they are arguing it is irresponsible to create new children when the children that currently live are not being adequately cared for
