Why do toilets flush the other way in the Southern Hemisphe

re?  And what about time zones?  How does night work?  If we are a rotating disk, why is it that we face the sun at different times?  If all of the world was on one side of the disk, then wouldnt it all be facing at the same time, and thus be night at the same time?
