Or maybe we are here so see another side and we are looking for more solid evidence than we are getting at this point since we are the ones coming to you to be convinced then the burden of proof would be on you. Now if you ask us why the earth is round on the round earth society then that burden will fall on us

I am not looking to convince anyone of FE. But when RE proponents come to the discussion boards and actively try to convince us of RE, we take it as a courtesy to explain why their alleged proofs are incomplete or completely wrong.

well still waiting on you to explain why we're wrong here, haven't done it yet.

Do you even read what I type, or do you just not understand it?

Then why are you here if you do not want to spread what you believe to be the truth that is being hidden from the everyone?

Mainly for reading up on flat earth theories, proposals, and any implications. I'm simply interested.

I clearly explained the premise and application of the burden of proof, and why it is exclusive to RE'ers. This is a prerequisite to your demands, yet you still ask for evidence.

So when an FE'er gives a proof and we doubt it then why do you still reply, I can understand if I start a board with a "proof" or RE and you decide to take the time to show me my "error" but not the other way around

I do not agree with Tom that this is proof. I simply saw several posts in this thread that merited a response.

It might be understandable if there were only one or two discrepancies in the Apollo story. Not a hundred metric tons of them. At one point the questions begin to outweigh the answers.
Right here. According to You I mean Tom this is a proof of a faked moon landing

I think he was aiming for 'evidence'.

Tom merely pointed out an overlooked fact. He mentioned the moon ball because it can be used as evidence against the moon landing. If not for filming, name a viable reason for such a perfectly detailed model of the moon at that size.

Why should we respond to fallacies?
You responded to the Moon ball so therefore you set a precedent

This one is a little stupid.  I mean, this "Moon Ball" could've been used for a variety of things, such as training or something.  It's not really evidence of a moon faking.

Yes. NASA built a hyper-realistic Moon Ball for "training or something."
If you watch the video you will see the CM pilot training

Do you mean the guy sitting there in the dark in front of the Moon Ball?  :D

so let me get this straight.  tom starts a thread about NASA having a "moon ball" and implies that it was used to fake the lunar landing.  REers come on the thread and ask for proof that the lunar landing was faked but somehow the burden of proof is on us to prove it really happened, not on tom for making the claim that this "moon ball" was used to fake the landings.  you know as well as we do that any proof we give will be dismissed because you are so narrow minded.  so what if i was to start a thread and claim that the "spotlight sun" was a fake and the sun was really a giant sphere about 96 million miles away, is the burden of proof on you to prove the "spotlight sun" and i get to sit back and not back up my claim?

PROVE THEY ARE FALLACIES!!!!  how many freaking times must we say it.  if its fake then their must be proof, lets see it.

Read the FAQ.

well i have read them, they are useless.  maybe if you guys want to use the "read the FAQ" so much you should go through the FAQ and put some evidence of a flat earth in it.  until then referring someone to the FAQ just shows you have no answer for them.

The FAQ can clearly not be considered as proof.
So stop the: "Read the FAQ"
You go read the FAQ yourself for FAQ sake!

Please refrain from derailing the thread off topic. I know that you have no real rebuttal and spiraling off into unrelated adhominem attacks is your only defense mechanism, but please try to remain on topic. The topic of this thread has nothing to do with the FAQ or the shape of the earth.

The Moon Ball was for "training or something," right? How did the CM pilot train on the moon ball and the convex enlarged sections of the surface?

then tell hara taiki to stop referring us to the FAQ.  i agree it has nothing to do with either of those things, it has to do with you telling us about a "moon ball" that NASA has.  which led to people making the claim that it was used to fake the lunar landings.  so now we're simply asking for proof that you have that the lunar landings were faked.  and as you know tom, photos are a no no.

I think you mean had. Not has. NASA saw fit to destroy the Moon Ball right after the Apollo missions.

The moon ball and its components are evidence that it was intended to be filmed.

If you can come up with some other legit reason NASA would need a team of artists and designers to build a hyper-realistic moon ball and larger scale convex sections please enlighten us.

well since we are still debating on this thread i'm not going to refer to in the past tense, so i meant has.  and just so you know criticizing grammar shows that you have no other arguments and now you're grasping for anything to avoid the topic.  as for NASA having a hyper-realistic model of the moon, i wouldn't be surprised if NASA had many hyper-realistic models of moons and planets.  if you were planning an extremely dangerous mission to the moon don't you think it would be beneficial to have a hyper-realistic model to look at while planning?

I find it interesting that your evidence for the moon ball is a mockumentary, and the reason none of us will find this moon ball is because nasa destroyed it. If i were to say that the true messiah was named Brian and my evidence was a Monty Python movie, and my explanation for why there is no other evidence is that Chrisitians destroyed it, would that make me right?

So if I were to say that there is a god, and that he is a flying pizza monster, its all right because I cant be proven wrong? the burden of truth should be on those makeing statements, ie: The earth is flat. If I were to say that the Earth dosen't exist, the onus should be on me to give evidence of this. if it were shoddy evidence, then its all bullshit.

ps, the flying pizza monster joke i stole from south park, lol
