Take a close look at the Lunar Lander
« on: January 09, 2009, 05:03:08 AM »
Take a good hard look at image AS11-40-5922 from Apollo 11. This six billion dollar fine piece of American engineering landed men on the moon.

Can you prove this is lunar lander? Have you seen this with you own eyes?

The image is hosted on NASA's website, from the Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Journal.

So from previous posts about nasa images i'm assuming that the point you are trying to make is that the image has been faked somehow. You're probably right, Tom. They wouldn't want to give away their secrets so probably photoshopped some component parts out.

Good work, Tom.

If you hadn't noticed, the Lunar Lander is made out of cardboard paper, a few old curtain rods, a roll of roofing paper, some floodlight holders, gold foil, and lots and lots of scotch tape to hold it all together on the hostile environment of the moon's surface.

I don't see any of those materials in the photo you posted.

I haven't performed it and I've never claimed to. I've have trouble being in two places at the same time.

I think its quite funny you post that picture, since you believe only 20 pictures were taken and this one is not even one of them.

What photographs? Apollo 11 only brought back 20 images from its mission.

Actually, I've seen it in person, and it's not.  The foil of which you speak is incredibly thin, and a NASA invention.  There is no scotch tape, and those curtain rods are structural components.  Your lack of knowledge is as sad as your willingness to delude yourself, Tom.

Seeing the same thing but not through a monitor helps how? Surely you are still taking NASA's word for what is on that model.

those curtain rods are structural components.
That's what they look like they are supposed to be. Why else would they be there?
If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

My point was, curtain rods are not made from a high-tech magnesium/aluminum/titanium alloy.  The structural components are.

And what is under that insulation it isnt very zetetic to assume that what we are seeing is the entire structure since we are not there in person

Right, and that's NASA's patented cardboard paper and NASA's patented copper colored 3M scotch tape which holds everything together. Millions of dollars of research and development, I'm sure. ::)

Tom, you do realize that the LEM was not designed to work in 1g.  It's designed to work in 1/6g and therefore can get away with being a lot more flimsy.  NASA has even said publicly that the legs on the LEM would collapse under the weight of the LEM in 1g.

I'm still not sure that I see what your point is, however.

SO does that mean that 3M is also part of the conspiracy?

I'm still not sure that I see what your point is, however.

My point is that NASA spent six billion dollars building a LEM from cardboard paper, scotch tape, old shower curtain rods, and aluminum foil. Ridiculous.

If you think that this landed and launched from the surface of the moon and that grown men lived in it with their space car then you are sadly deluded.

SO your point is that whenever we buy some post-its, tape or glue we are supporting these couple of guys who run this evil conspiracy to fool the world and make billions of dollars from it?
I am calling for a worldwide boycott of tape, glue and post-its lets hit these bastards where it will hurt them the most, right in their wallet!

Why thank you since the evidence given by you I mean Tom is that 3M spent tons of money "developing" this tape for NASA they must be in on the conspiracy because they obviously didnt spend nearly as much money as they said they did since it is just regular tape and tinfoil. Forgetting about all of the oversight that a publicly traded company has for second and all of the other uses that these "inventions" have, it makes perfect sense that it is all faked with no one the wiser to it except for Tom

Yes, and having insulation wrapped around a structure that is going to be exposed to extreme conditions is a very reasonable thing to do and since much of the technology is still being used today in the private sector and it works as it was designed to just gives it that much more credibility. Or are you 2 going to argue that 3M is a government entity so therefore the inventions they claim do not work and everyone who bought it since then has been fooled into thinking it works as claimed by some unknown force

Congratulations; you have knocked down enough strawmen to have all the materials necessary for a degree in basket-weaving.

Take a moment to actually think for yourself. Does that "lander" seriously look like it has the necessary effort put into to it to serve its alleged purpose?

Try not letting NASA whisper the answer into your ear this time.
