1) Yes, you are. You're pretending that the ban on automatic weapons is the only variable which could have had an effect on crime rates between 1995 and 2011, which is patently untrue.
So back to what I said about anti gun people not knowing anything about guns. Automatic weapons were banned in America in 1986. I could go out an buy a full auto gun after all the checks and the $200 tax stamp but it would have been made in or before 1986. No way else. But we are not talking about "automatic weapons", we are talking about assault weapons. Please look them up. I sure hope you do not think American run around with machine guns.
2) A) Every single one? There's never been a mass murderer who didn't have serious mental issues evar?
B) Straw man. I never made that claim. Mental healthcare in the U.S. sucks and clearly needs to be reformed. I'm not debating that.
I didn't mean to put all had, I meant that someshooters in the past and the recent shooters had mental problems. I don't know about every shooting. The DC sniper may not have had mental problems.
1) Probably the fact that they turn your ranged weapon into a ranged/melee weapon, but I'm far from an expert on such things.
It's cosmetic. No one uses bayonets to kill these days. No one uses the grande attachment either. One of the main criticisms of the last assault weapons ban was that it was a cosmetic ban.
2) You've yet to demonstrate that assault weapon bans are not useful. Petitio principii.
Except for the stats that showed the last ban was worthless. Or that Connecticut has an assault weapons ban and the shooting still took place. Look up the states that have assault weapons bans and see what the ban really is. You can still have assault weapons. Ask Californians about the Bullet Button.
Incorrect
All the talk about an assault weapons ban after the Aurora shooting quickly died out. He used one, yet it took this one to get a senator to sponsor a bill. Bandwagon
1) Yes, we will protect ourselves from government tanks and drones with assault rifles and a few clips of ammunition. This isn't the 18th century anymore. The weapons used by the military are far too technologically advanced and expensive for civilian use. We lost the ability to defend ourselves against our own military a long time ago and gun laws aren't going to change that.
So we should forfeit our liberty because we are scared of the government? Also once again, assault weapons take magazines. Some guns do use clips but these clips load internal magazines. Watch less mass media.
(2) As for the Pearl Harbor thing, please provide evidence for your outrageous claims.
I don't have any. That is why I added or so they say.
