Did you take that picture yourself?  Exactly.  How do you know that is what the Earth looks like?  Someone told you it was.

Exacly. Its called education. I think the Earth is round because I see no reason to think otherwise. There is proof that the Earth is round, photographic evidence, scientific evidence, physical evidence ect.

Actually, every time I go outside I see it for myself.

When you go outside, you also only see about five miles or so in any given direction. That's probably all that even exists.

And what would have stopped Magellan from sailing around a flat earth?
Sailing around a flat earth is perfectly possible as long as you don't try to sail from north to south.

what!? i thought the purpose of this forum was to prove that the earth is flat, not a cylinder

Actually, thats illogical, you see just by looking you cant see wheater the earth is a disk or a sphere sint in either way the earth is still too large to be able to detect a spherical form from the ground, you need to go up! go up an airplane and see if you can see any "bent shape" of the earth, maybe the earth actually only has the shape of a half sphere? :shock:
