Quote from: Article 16 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
1.   Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.

It is the definition of "marriage" that is under question though.

Why is the definition so important? It's just a word.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

Mike Huckabee was on The Daily Show last night, and that was his main defense for being against gay marriage.  Plus, he made the ridiculous claim (IMO) that if the US allows gay marriage then we will be forced to allow polygamy and other types of marriage.  I personally don't see the problem in redefining the modern idea of marriage as between two consenting adults, and leave it at that.  Marriage has been redefined countless times over the past few thousand years, and civilization survived.  If the Catholic church hadn't stuck its nose in back in the 1200's and then again in the 1500's I doubt this would be such a big deal now.

The protestant church hasn't exactly helped either.  Although, they seem to be more at ease with it, they're actually the main ones starting the fires in the debate.
You think that a photograph is indisputable evidence?  Would you like me to show you a photograph of Barack Obama having sex with a gorilla?
