Same sex marriage: No different than straight marriages.

Wrong.

What the fuck is so wrong about that statement? Two people, regardless of gender, sharing enough love for each other to have the desire to spend the rest of their lives together.  I don't see the difference.
The lack of faggotry.

Gay couples should be allowed to marry, but not to adopt children if there are equally qualified heterosexual couples wishing to adopt the same baby. This should be done to give children the most natural upbringing possible.

Hi, lrn2gayhavingchildrentypesituation.
What about surrogacy? Are you going to ban them from that as well?

WTF does that even say?

lrn2gay|having|children|type|situation

Is that correct?

lrn2speak

robosteve should learn about the different ways in which homosexuals can have a child. Not just his "well nobody else wants ya'. Send the child to the gays" scenario.

The difference is that marriage is a christian concept, and christfags hate fagfags.

marriage isn't a christian concept. In fact all it is actually for is to guarantee a mans land (assets) only go to his offspring, ergo he 'marries' the woman he got up the stick.

Still, to actually marry in church if you're gay is ludicrous.

Thats why there's civil unions and there's marriages, so people (gays) don't need to get religious about it

I think homosexuals should have the right to get married in the religious way that you see fit.  If you have two homosexual christians, are we telling them, "No, you fags, you can't get married.  You'll have to stick to civil unions."

And also, some states do not allow Civil Unions.  In fact, most.

This place sucks. Vote for me as dictator of the world in about 13-15 years.
Everyone here can be one of my generals.
If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Florida passed a similar amendment.  It can effect straight couples too, cause it's defending marriage, lol.  It's religious homophobic bullshit.
That's because people in Florida are stupid.

Proposition 8 is about granting special treatment to gays and lesbians. No one is preventing a gay man from marrying, only from marrying another man. It is and has always been legal for a man, whether gay or straight, to marry a woman. This is about providing special treatment to allow gay men and lesbian woman to marry people of the same sex. I know that this is hard for some of you to understand but it is true.

While I do see where your coming from Proposition 8 did not preserve the status-quo in California it reversed a previous decision granting same-sex marriage and thus was technically depriving them of a right they enjoyed up at the time the Proposition was put on the ballot. In any case regardless of my views on same-sex marriage the whole idea of using a referendum to determine minority rights is one I find abhorrent.I is democracy in the pejorative sense, rule of the mob (which is what the word democracy actually means, it was originally a pejorative coined by supporters of aristocracy)

So?  Why does anyone care what two adults do, as long as they're not hurting anyone? The religious are in an uproar because the US is becoming more tolerant of gays. They claim that they are defending marriage. Has the divorce rate gone down in any state that has made gay marriage illegal?  If they really want to protect marriage, maybe they should make divorce illegal.
