Tokyo. Out of the available choices, it is the furthest away from me.
My I.Q. is 85. Or was it 58?

Japan hasn't hosted a summer olympics since 1964.  I'd vote for that.  Spain probably second vote since they haven't hosted since 1968.  Maybe they can be the next hosts.

Chicago because that doesn't seem like a place Olympics would be held.

Tokyo 'cos you know the Japanese are going to go a bit mental with it. (maybe 'stepping stones' from Takeshi's Castle could be an olympic event?)

Madrid, because it is on the only available continent which doesn't suck.

I'll support South America when they build a freeway across the Darién Gap.

For some reason I was thinking Rio was in Mexico, which hosted the olympics in 1992 or whatever.  I have to agree with you.  Brazil definitely deserves a shot at hosting the Olympics.

So don't say "we".

What's wrong with teaming up globally to support improvements in the transportation network of the world as a whole?

I am serious. I'm also equally supportive of the developed European E-route and developing Asian A-route and Trans-African highway networks; I just wish there wasn't so much political bullshit holding these things up. With proper funding and government support we could see a highway linking South Africa with Chile by the end of the century, via crossings at the Strait of Gibraltar (or through Israel if their political shit gets sorted out), the Bering Strait and the Darién Gap. This would leave Australia and Antarctica as the only two continents not directly connected to the rest of the world by road.

I'd prefer to see a pan-global railway network. It would me much faster than travelling by car, more interesting than going by plane and more environmentally sound than both options.

In many cases, road and rail could occupy a shared corridor where none yet exists.

Good for them, since South America have never hosted the Olympics.
