If the flat Earth is acclerating upward at 9.8 m/s^2 does that mean the Earth is moving at some ludicrous speed? After 1 year the Earth would be traveling at 309052800 m/s and after 500 years the Earth would be traveling at 154526400000 m/s well past the speed of light.
