Do zombies exist? If you look at the chernobyl area you can see zombies firsthand.

This is a scientific discussion, gentlemen. Define a zombie. Is it someone who has been clinically dead and has risen to live again? If so, there are many zombies as results of swimming accidents, where revival has been successful.

There was a case of some witch doctor who would drug people into a mindless state of extreme vulnerability to suggestion and forced the people he kidnapped to work for him.

He would pretend to cause someone to die, the people would bury the person and then the witch doctor would dig them up later and take them away.

One man managed to miss his regular dosage of the drugs used and wandered back to his village fully aware of himself (and also noticing himself aged) and the people thought he was a zombie at first.

I can't find the source, but I read it in some book about unexplained mysteries being solved or something.

That happened in Haiti. I saw it on a documentary.

Ah, yes, you're right. I didn't see that particular documentary, as I said, I merely read it, but I wasn't sure if anyone else heard of it. I am happy at least one person here knows about it too.

I have read the Zombie Survival Guide by Max brooks, so i know alot about zombies...
Mr. brooks aparently did alot of his homework on the subject, and his book is hilarious in the way he takes it very seriously.

there are two kinds of zombies:
voodoo zombies and viral zombies.

those zombies that have some kind of magic controlling them that live in africa are the voodoo ones.

viral zombies (IE real zombies) are human corpses that have been "reanimated" due to an infection of Solanum. Otherwise known as the zombie virus, solanum will take about 24 hours to kill you, then reactive parts of your brain to control your body.

Zombies are not alive, they have no heartbeat or any other indication of life besides movement.
they do not register pain, nor do they have awareness of other zombies.
contrary to popular belief, they do not hunger for brains. In fact, thier digestive system is not even working. They will take any meat, but will not be able to digest it once eaten. Why they want what they do not need is unknown.

the book has plenty of zombie sightings and other accounts, some even kept me up at night.

That book is fictional... but you already knew that.

i know,
fun to read though :)

it is based off some kinds of "facts" though,
meaning he researched many different denominations of zombies and created a zombie standard.

Zombies are so real. I too read the Survival Guide. Mr. Brooks is a smart man. This one time I thought my neighbor was a zombie so I hit him with my car. He had to go to the emergency room. He was hurt pretty badly. But that's besides the point.

Anyways, Max Brook. One book. Against everyone. No one has dared covered it because it's all a conspiracy as Rat pointed out. Even your mother is in on it. Even her dead grandma is in on it. Even that cricket outside your window is really a recording device designed to fool you. He can decipher what you type by listening to the length of time it takes for you to type. Each key stroke gives off a unique signature and he records this and sends it to the authorities. How do you think RET has worked so flawlessly? They get you in your very state of existence. But don't be a pawn. Don't succumb to this slavery. Set yourself free ALL FET's! End your life to show these conspirators that you are protesting!

I always loved Brooks' name for the zombie virus. Solanum is the botanical genus of potato. Holy shit, I'm eating fries! SOLANUM!!! :o

If rabies and ebola ever had a baby, we'd be half way to zombies (28 Days later zombies in any case)
