I have read the Zombie Survival Guide by Max brooks, so i know alot about zombies...
Mr. brooks aparently did alot of his homework on the subject, and his book is hilarious in the way he takes it very seriously.
there are two kinds of zombies:
voodoo zombies and viral zombies.
those zombies that have some kind of magic controlling them that live in africa are the voodoo ones.
viral zombies (IE real zombies) are human corpses that have been "reanimated" due to an infection of Solanum. Otherwise known as the zombie virus, solanum will take about 24 hours to kill you, then reactive parts of your brain to control your body.
Zombies are not alive, they have no heartbeat or any other indication of life besides movement.
they do not register pain, nor do they have awareness of other zombies.
contrary to popular belief, they do not hunger for brains. In fact, thier digestive system is not even working. They will take any meat, but will not be able to digest it once eaten. Why they want what they do not need is unknown.
the book has plenty of zombie sightings and other accounts, some even kept me up at night.
