Okay these are quotes from your FAQ, as requested.

Quote
Q: "Why does gravity vary with altitude?"

A: Some models claim that the moon and stars have a slight gravitational pull, but other models hold that gravity does not exist anywhere in the Universe, thus gravitational variation is either a myth or caused by another phenomenom.

Please enlighten me with details of these other phenomenom/myths.

Quote
Q: "What is the motive behind this conspiracy?"

A: The motive is unknown although it is probably money

Q: "If you're not sure about the motive, why do you say there is a conspiracy?"

A: Well it's quite simple really; if the earth is in fact flat, then the governments must be lying when they say it isn't.

If the government is flat, then the government is lying; if it is round, then they are not.

We knew that already. That isn't even an argument.

Quote
Q: "What's underneath the Earth?" aka "What's on the bottom?" aka "What's on the other side?"

A: This is unknown. Some believe it to be just rocks, others believe the Earth rests on the back of four elephants and a turtle.

'This is unknown'. That's just great.

Quote
Q: "How come the travel time by air from South America to New Zealand, via the polar route, is SHORTER than the travel time going North first and then South again?"

A: (Presumed answer: The airline pilots are misled by their GPS, or are deliberately conspiring to make it appear that the flights take different times)

Presumed answer?! What kind of answer is that?

Really. This is pathetic.

Why would NASA fabricate such an elaborate illusion? What do they gain out of it? They put millions into this, into man hours for defending the ice walls, photoshop research in the 80s, but obviously no actual space research. But what do they get out of it?

Nothing. If you can give me a possible motive for NASA's hand in this conspiracy, then I might be more inclined to believe it - and if you can give any evidence and/or proof of this conspiracy then I'd be much more interested in this.

I've not yet seen one convincing response to any question asked on here. Where there are grey areas in the argument, there happens to be conspiracies, with no apparent motives. All the 'proofs' have been quotes from some bloke, or the bible (which is a fictional text written by many people, after the actual events - though contains some good morals, but is no basis for scientific 'proof'). RE has FAR MORE evidence, and FAR MORE logic than FE.

I've actually seen arguments saying 'it seems flat, therefore it is' - which is simply stupid. Plain and simple.

There seems to be a bit of confusion on the definition of the word 'proof' on this forum. Some guy saying the world is flat seems to constitute being proof. Especially if they took the time of writing it into a book.

Money is the reason behind all NASA conspiracies. Or perhaps power. But money is power... and vice versa.

PEOPLE SPENT TIME ON THIS. JUST READ IT.

If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Heh dude, we've read it. And all it contains is one person telling us the answers, and you expect us to just believe it because someone typed it? We're asking for proof, something concrete and substantial.

Honestly, the strange paranoid world you guys live in, where "agents" exist to keep you from a giant ice wall on a flat earth which has 4 elephants and a turtle residing on the other side is crazy!

Money is the reason behind all NASA conspiracies. Or perhaps power. But money is power... and vice versa.

This is essentially what the FAQ says: 'It's money... I think.'

Exactly how, then, do they get this money? By spending billions? Would they lose any money if the world was flat? No.

And please stop referring to the FAQ, I've read it, it's a flawed text, and everytime I point out these flaws, I get referred back to FAQ. Or I get called 'narc'. Or I get tl;dr.

Here's a valid question:

Quote

This is basically saying if x = 1, then y = 2. If x = 4, y = 5. Therefore x = 1. I'm not a mathmetician, but this is no way of providing 'proof'.

I've got this from this webpage (navigated from the link given earlier): http://www.geocities.com/lclane2/flatearth.html

Is that your final answer?

Winky, its fair enough you saying they are nutty. Honestly though, just give me a decent answer, i havent seen anyone come up with a decent reply to any of my points. Im asking you guys questions here, are you not able to answer them?

You wont get a proper answer from them.

Thats the idea. Like i said in another post. Its like religion, they cant prove it so will bang on about us not being able to prove it first. They know they cant ever prove it whereas we can and have.

It is indeed a disturbing idea they have of life imo lol :D

We can and have on any picture that comes from space, everytime you use your mobile phone, pc etc...

Now the burden is on YOU to prove to us the world is flat.

Instead of doubling back the questions all the time try answering them.

See? You've done it again. They do prove it now i'm asking you to prove your side which i know wont happen will it? In which case the whole thing from your side is bullshit.

I said on another thread, i have followed this forum for months but only registered today but the abuse i have seen the mods give new members here for asking a simple question is idiotic and doesn't do any of you FE'ers any good.

So for once, nice and friendly. Prove it.

What do I need to prove? You haven't told me what it is you expect me to prove. And you're mocked because you fucking deserve it. I don't believe for one second that you lurked for more than ten minutes in CN before coming here and posting the same old shit every noob posts. If I were mod, I'd just warn anyone that asked old, answered questions and delete the thread, creating a dedicated noob-in-question mocking thread so people like you couldn't jump in on us for derailing.

No no, get it right, your the ones that are mocked. You lot are a small section of nut jobs that cant prove anything so do what you have done in that post and attempted to insult me.

I asked you to prove to me the earth is flat. Simple. If you cant even do that simple task then A) you shouldn't be near a computer. B) should be sectioned for being utterly idiotic.

So once again, we can all insult but it will get us nowhere so stop being an arse and prove to me the earth is flat.

And for your information i got this site from another forum i go to about 4 months ago and have read it since then. Not everyday but i have a static ip. Ask a mod to check my IP which is logged on the right. I run a forum using this SMF version so know it can be done. May shut you up about that for one  ::)

Being vague will get you nowhere.  Read the FAQ, lurk, and search.  Find a topic that interests you and start a thread about something specific or post in an old one.  Don't say "explain blah".

Oh dear. going round in circles here....

Im asking your reasons for believing the earth is flat which makes you a tiny minority of people many of whom think your whack jobs. Now i have an open mind about things and i want you to explain to me your reasons.  Ive made 19 posts now asking the same thing in every question so i cant see why or how im being vague...

I have lurked for several months and i have read the FAQ and they mean nothing. Full of utter crap only a fool could believe. Like religion i guess.

Oh yes, being i own several forums and have been using t'internet for many many years im pretty sure i know how to use it thanks.
