Rotation of Mars

The FAQ make reference to the other planets as being flat.  If Mars is flat, why do the features visible through a (decent) telescope shift constantly to the right.

I don't believe FE theory relies on other planets being flat, so this point is moot; mars could well be, and, to the best of my knowledge, is, a sphere.

Is there then an explaination for why the earth is flat, but the other planets are round?

Sure, maybe God made it this way; maybe it's just a hunk of rock that broke off another, very large astral body and developped life.  Your guess would be as good as mine.
