Hell

I was thinking, what could be the worst punishment. What if you had to live your life over again, and again, and again, for the rest of eternity. Have you ever had deja vu and just felt insanely tired, like you've done this before? Maybe you have.

That's really an interesting way to look at it.  I don't know about feeling instantly tired after feeling de ja vu though.  I don't really feel like my life is hell either.  I like being alive.
You think that a photograph is indisputable evidence?  Would you like me to show you a photograph of Barack Obama having sex with a gorilla?

Meh. I felt it emphasized the outlook of life as being the worst possible experience; classic emo mentality. Hell on earth, as it were.

Plus I'm bored.

Right, I never read that one. I've read a few of his books though, my friend is really big into him.

I just mean, if you went to hell, you fucked up your life somewhere. Maybe hell is reliving your life over and over. What if your life is about to go really south? What if you had to relive the worst part of your life over and over. You can't change it, because you are you. Sometimes you get a quick glimpse of what you are doing, deja vu. Perhaps at the end you are even told or it is revealed to you that you have to live this life again, and you realize it's a loop.

I was just thinking.

Hell would be being served hot English tea by beautiful supermodels who are extremely  eager for  bedroom fun

(hey, if Hell exists then I'm going there so I want some good 'punishments' down there. ;))

Hi Raist,

I remember posting a topic similar to that asking about the worst punishment in major religions. Anyway in Islam for example humans cannot imagine thw worst punishment I think because it goes far beyond that like the Heaven's reward, it's far beyond our imaginations. Anyway but it was clarified in Islam that the one who is getting the least punishment in Hell will have chain or balls of steel (Don't remember well) on his feets and it will melt his brain and will be coming out of his head because of how high the temprature is and he will be punished like that forever. If you want I can quote you some type of punishments mentioned in the Quran :)

Yet people who get punished for their bad deeds, if they were Muslims (Meaning he only believe and worshipped one God (Allah) and thought of Mohammed, Jesus, Moses...etc only messengers of Allah) they will not be punished for eternal. However those who are associating partners with Allah or worshipping another one beside him they will be punished in Hell forever, same goes for those who denied his existence they will punished forever. This is of course what Islam says about punishment in Hell.

~And peace shall be on him who follows the guidance~
"And say, `All praise belongs to ALLAH; HE will soon show you HIS Signs, and you will know them.' And thy Lord is not unaware of what you do."

"Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? "

My idea of hell would be total solitaire.  No connection to anyone else, nothing but your own thoughts.  That, to me, would be hell.  And of course you couldn't have fun, so you'd have to live with it forever.  You wouldn't die, you wouldnt age, you'd just be stuck in this darkness all alone.  That's a scary thought.

Strange, I like solitude.  I occasionaly solo backpack just to get away from everybody.

To me, hell would be being strapped into a Veyron 16.4 with the stereo blasting N'Suck, stuck in bumper to bumper traffic doing five miles an hour in 120 degree heat with no AC and the windows up.

That would actually be kind of cool. If I could spend something like 20,000 years straight visualizing weird math like the Banach-Tarski paradox I'd probably not be that bored. I'd much rather do that than fart around with angels on clouds playing harps.
