Protestant is any christian organization spawned from the reformation side of things that reject the pope. Technically the orthodox church is far more original than the catholics. And then you have some eastern christianity that is basically what christianity was before organization.

So no, catholicism is not the original form of christianity.

Especially when you get into original sin, the immaculate conception, and things like purgatory. All were invented late in the game, yet catholics base a lot of their beliefs on things they made up themselves.

I'm trying to figure out who he's calling an ignorant protestant.
You think that a photograph is indisputable evidence?  Would you like me to show you a photograph of Barack Obama having sex with a gorilla?

"Ignorant Protestant"? Isn't that a bit redundant?

Not necessarily.  You have the few that accept evolution and are quite well informed.

How is this topic still going on?: Catholics believe that Christ was the saviour and worship him, ergo they're Christians.

Sorry, I just can't resist.  I want this on a real poster for my door.

Belief gets in the way of learning.  If you believe something, you've closed your mind to any further thought.  I know some things, little things, not the nine million names of God.

Greek Mythology.   ;D
agreed

Greek Mythology is interesting....but I don't know....Egyptian is cool in the ceremonies and the rituals that went on, but I love the many different gods with Greek.

Japanese Mythology.

The Kitsune wives were very cool.  Kitsune are cool all by themselves.

From a few short posts you seem to enjoy Japanese culture Ravenwood. Am I right?

Some of it.  Bushido and the mythology rocks, and they have a great work ethic.

That freaky porn stuff they do is just a bit out there for me. :-[

No. You are stupid. It is the same religion that has been splitting since the days of Constantine.

It split the catholics from the Church of england. Then you have Martin Luther leading to the protestant reformation where the first non catholic churches left it. But long before that you had the splitting of the orthodox and the catholics.

So no, he was neither the first to split the church, nor was he the one that created all the protestant sects.

No, the orthodox split was during the time of Constantine. That was a tad bit earlier.
