We thus made this (Quran) elucidated in your tongue, in order to deliver good news to the righteous, and to warn with it the opponents.Many a generation before them we annihilated; can you perceive any of them, or hear from them any sound?

I have a question about the word Amen/Ameen/Aamin

I realized that we Muslims and Christians use it in our prayers, I was wondering what the word Amen means for Christians? and when they actually use it?

Christians use the word 'Amen' as a way to add power to their prayers, I think. Almost always, 'Amen' is spoken after a prayer or a recital from the bible, probably both as a way to use it for it's meaning, 'May it be'/'let it be so', and as a way to give closure to the prayer in question.

It basically means "FUCK YAH!"

I see so the Christians are using as like we Muslims use "In Sha Allah" (If God Wills) in our normal words. However the time we use the words Amen is like when when pray, and reciting verses from the Quran, asking Allah for our needs . For example if we pray and ask god this >>>


We say Amen which means "Oh God Answer our prayer" that's why when you see Muslims praying and asking God other Muslims saying Amen meaning oh God please answer that.

I may not have the facts, but it seems that muslims believe that God is a sort of ruler that rules the world on a pretty impersonal level, while christians would describe themselves as an actual relationship with God.

The difference between us Muslims and other people is that we never put God and his creations on the same category, because God wouldn't accept that since it's an insult. God cannot be compared to his creations, God in various old books said the same thing that there is nothing like him and he is greater than all....etc We Muslims are worshiping God the way he want us while other people they worship God the way they (Humans) want

However this doesn't mean we are far from God, God clearly states that those who believe in him and following his orders and not disobeying him are those who are close to him. The thing is we Muslims can never insult god or put limits or say that he do "Un-Godly" acts because if God was like that he is not worthy to be worshiped as the "Almighty God".

Why is it you have to pray towards mecca. And why is it you have to pray at certain times of the day.

Allah is one of the many names of Almighty God so yeah when I say Allah I am talking about (Almighty God)

I don't know but I am not surprised. Regarding the god's names, the names of Allah are not limited to any specific number because we might know some of them and don't know others, the name names of Allah are all perfect and most beautiful. He said in the Quran:

LoL that's not new, you know Arabs at the time of Mohammed they told him he is crazy, liar, insane...etc however it didn't affect him at all in fact we see now there are millions following this Man and those who insulted him are not known lol I believe I just found another benefit for following a religion, it's when someone insults you, you don't insult back ^_~ man I swear following my religion saved me of wasting lots of money for personal development courses
