...but the conspiracy kind of sucks at life if they can only shut down the article in a singular place...

Well a country ordering a take down of material only really works if the media outlet has offices there.

I doubt Yahoo would have given China that reporter's personal information to lock him away if Yahoo had no dealings or presence in China.
Or it could just be china controlling it's media like it does. You know google doesn't serve china anymore because they didn't want to censor the search results?

Actually, they are claiming the will leave that market if certain conditions are not met. This was more a reaction to coordinated hacks of google email accounts that originated in china and targeted chinese political dissidents. China of course can attack a company by illegal means and the world doesn't even react.

Now try the same phrase on google.com. A lot of results on google.cn are being filtered. The epoch times link with a detailed analysis showing clear Chinese fakery is completely missing, for example.

It isn't much of a conspiracy if it only filters out some of the damaging information.  Most of the top reults are the same on both.  This seems to point to pure internet sensorship and much less to some sort of conspiracy to hide a fake space flight.

If you're shocked that a highly opressive nation would restrict some of its web content then I guess, good for you.
