Nope, it was proven correct by multiple members.

My member certainly stood up for that proposal.

Tell her what she didn't win John.

Well Bob, she didn't win the new washer and dryer combo, and she didn't win the new dining room set, and she didn't win the trip to Aruba.

But thanks for playing and we will see you next time on NAME  THAT  RELIGION!!!

lulz, let me guess you linked to a bunch of sites that disprove them being christians by some definition of christian they thought up? I'm guess you also linked them to sites making the fallacious argument about it being a cult,  not christian. This making no sense because there could be a christian cult.

So no, You stay in fail.

So everyone knows what they are? That's new to me. I've heard a catholic say they aren't a christian, they are a catholic. Doesn't make them right, it makes them ignorant of their own religion. Also I used to have long discussions with the jehovah's witnesses that came to my door, they consider themselves christians.

(yes i trolled jehovah's witnesses)

quote from wikipedia

"Jehovah's Witnesses contend that the Bible has always condemned the mixing of religions on the basis that there can only be one truth from God.[87][88] They believe only their religion represents true Christianity and that all other religions fail to meet all the requirements set by God and will be destroyed.[89] They are opposed to 'councils' that unite or combine different religions.[90]"

Quote from watchtower

Watchtower 12/15/53 pp. 741–742 Should the Religions Unite? "While these councils may provide a strong political lobby, or aid in mission work, they have no unity of doctrine, no message for the world, no direction to the kingdom of God as earth's only hope, no counsel for the Christian conscience in the present crisis. They are merely "United Nations" of religions, 'agencies of cooperation' between widely divided denominations, but are not organizations that could bring their members to a unity of correct belief."

Raist,

Im not going to trash this thread fighting about this with you.  If you want head over to the thread and we can have it out over there.

A Christian is someone who has decided to entrust his or her life to Jesus Christ. A Christian trusts Christ for forgiveness of sin, a right standing before God, and guidance in life.

Many people are confused about the Jehovah’s Witnesses. People have written to ask if they are Christians or do they worship a different God? The following article may help to answer this important questions.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and Christians (two separate entities) have some things in common. For example, they share common concerns about religious apostasy, and they teach against Evolution.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and Christians do, however, differ on many important doctrines. In an attempt to keep this article to a reasonable length, let us not concentrate on ALL the differences. Rather…
…LET US INVESTIGATE THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE, THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST.

JW’s believe that Jesus Christ was a perfect man, and that He is a person distinct from God the Father. However, they also teach that before His earthly life, Jesus was a spirit creature, Michael the archangel, who was created by God and became the Messiah at His baptism. According to Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jesus is a mighty one, although not almighty as Jehovah God is. According to John 1:1 in their Bible, The New World Translation, Christ is “a god,” but not “the God.” They teach that Jesus “was and is and always will be beneath Jehovah” and that “Christ and God are not coequal”.

again, I have a quote directly from watchtower. Where is your quote from? Mine is from the leaders of the organization. Where is yours from?

Also their are multiple denominations that believe the trinity is three distinct entities, while it may differ from your views, it does not make them not christian.

I have to agree with Raist here.  Based on the language I've seen used in Watchtower they seem to consider themselves Christian to me.

Here's a quote from their official website:

Quote
The courageous Christian stand of Jehovah's Witnesses in Germany and other lands dominated by Adolf Hitler is a matter of record. A notable event in Berlin, Germany, in 1933 illustrates their courage, their love for God and neighbor, and their respect for law, order, and religious freedom.

so you quote an organization that has no affiliation with jws and i quoted the organization at the head of jws. Please at least use a source with something other than .net.

any christian site ending in .net is usually biased and unreliable.

http://www.carm.org/jw/cult.htm

Just because they say they are, doesn't mean they are.

JW leadership claims its victims by asserting itself to be the sole Christian religion and authority on the earth today, as well as God's mouthpiece or prophet. The Watchtower further disrupts families through its harsh and unbiblical interpretation of "disfellowshipping" and the practice of "shunning." Family members who are former JWs are labeled by Watchtower adherents as "apostates" and prevented from even social contact. Disfellowshipped or disassociated children, parents, and grandparents are kept from any type of communication with active members of the organization. Divorces are common within the sect when one member becomes disillusioned with Watchtower teaching and mind-control.
