Well, the ground could just be curved at that particular spot. If I put sticks in the ground at the top of Half Dome mountain, they would produce exactly the effect you are describing.

^^ that example is refraction, not bending, if it bent the tooth brush would have a curvature as it enter the water, not a split.

Yes, that is why I said that it bends through spacetime. As opposed to conventional theory, which predicts light to follow a geodesic through spacetime.

Nah, we actually use the fact the light bends around our sun to magnify images of distant objects (oh I forgot, thats only if you believe that the other stars we see are more than a 3 or 4-day drive away...)

Roads might seem curved but that's just because they're aren't completely straight - nothing can ever be 110%, completely, totally straight. No human road-builder can make a perfectly straight road - so the curvature you mention is purely an effect of poor workmanship.

Blame the builder, not the Earth being round. Fact.

How much evidence do we need to gather to prove that the Earth is flat before everyone believes us? When will governments revise geography books?

You need evidence to prove anything. Here is proof that the Earth is round. The farther North and South of the equator you go the colder it is. If it was flat It would be in excess of 100F all over the world.
