I have personally seen the curvature of the Earth. When I drive down this long road into the country crossing the road are about 5-7 power lines up in the air. They are suspended by these huge towers and if you look to the left or right you can see one single row of these towers going as far as the eye can see which is all the way to the horizon. The ground is relatively flat and there are no trees blocking the way. Now when your gaze gets nearer to the horizon the towers start to get shorter and shorter. You can no longer see the bottom of the towers but you can see the top. The next tower in line will have even less of its top showing than the first. It only takes about 3 or 4 till they are out of sight. There are two possible explanations for this.
1: Near the horizon on both sides of the road is a very long but gradual downward slope. This will cause me to preserve that the towers are getting smaller in size. Convenient eh?
2: Earth is actually curving.
 I have just single handily proved that the earth is round. I want to hear your responses no matter how illogical they are.

No this is an optical illusion and is caused purly the refraction of the sunlight off denser dust particals which cause resonating with the parralax path that the beam of light takes to reach your eyes, next time close one eye and all should appear good......

Ok so I guess light bends a bit but that is threw 2 different mediums. There is just air where I’m looking. If there was ne affect like that then it would be like the straw and not how I described and be way less drastic.

Nah now you’re twisting my words. The effect should look like the straw. The towers should be broken from the middle a bit not moving downward and disappearing from the base up. Since the moisture in the air is not as dense as water it should look similar but the break shouldn’t look so bad. That’s what would happen if what you say is true. But that’s not the effect that I describe. The effect that I describe isn’t the same effect as the one portrayed by the straw in the cup.
