I'm not a huge fan of people who have photos of orbs.  I think it's ridiculous.  You go to an old graveyard in the middle of the night, snap pictures with you flash and get all shocked when you see "orbs" all over the photo.  BUGS people, BUGS, DUST, POLLEN, ETC....

However, I feel like MAYBE just maybe there are other times when it may be something else.  About a year and a half ago my husband's family threw me a baby shower (mostly because I was 8 mos along) and they took all sorts of pictures.  About a month later we all met up for dinner and they gave me the photos.  I thought nothing of it, stuffed them in my purse, and went about my business.  Later, while bored at home I went and dug the photos out.  Every picture was normal except pictures that included my husband's grandmother.  In every picture of her, and ONLY with pictures of her, there was this strange, what seemed self-iluminating, "orb" (I hate that word), above her.  Now, I'm sure I could account it to dust or a bug that apparently had a thing for her.  I don't know but it was interesting.  Later, when I get home, where I have access of these pictures, I'll post them if you like.

No.  Do you know what pollen looks like in the middle of the night and you flash a light at it?  It looks like an orb.  It simply reflects the light back to the camera.

Obviously you can't see the pollen. But when it is dark, the pollen can still reflect enough light from the flash to seem extremely bright in a night time photo.
