Going to a LANparty?
« on: August 24, 2008, 11:51:14 PM »
Then you're an idiot!

Hosting a LANparty?
You should probably make a business of your $57 weekly profit, start with a really cool logo, that's the most important part.

I went to one once. Also, I don't think this belongs in General Discussion.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Why is it stupid to go to a LAN party? There are plenty of PC games that really aren't nearly as intense when playing by yourself or over the internet. Battlefield, Starcraft, Age of Empires, just to name a few, are far better when playing with a group.

Never been.  But I have considered it.
You think that a photograph is indisputable evidence?  Would you like me to show you a photograph of Barack Obama having sex with a gorilla?

That's what I was talking about. Not those stupid LAN cafe's where you have to pay for them. That's ridiculous.

Yes, most places are fairly overpriced, and are inhabited by little kids with their parents footing the bill. Not exactly the greatest environment.

Make sure to sit next to the guy that bothered to bring a box full of anime figurines.

He's bound to keep talking about something really interesting.

I don't know many people into anime, and I don't like the shit, myself.  It's just a LAN set up between myself and some friends at my friends new place, but no one knows where the fuck he lives and we can't get a hold of him.  The bastard...

Canadian anime? Does that even exist?

I'm talking about Japanese anime, that isn't aired in North America. Hence, not imported.

Can you define exactly what you feel is appropriate for General Discussion and what isn't?

If a thread is likely to generate sophisticated debate and doesn't fit into any of the other serious boards, then I should think it would belong in General Discussion. This is just Narc being stupid, but not stupid enough for Complete Nonsense.

General discussion is for discussion of anything non related to the other topics, that isn't spam or an angry rant. This is about LAN parties, that is something else.
