Hey gayer, you're already winning by a landslide so don't worry about a little friendly competition ;)

I think Jack and Robosteve are good mod choices, but I agree that Roundy is tailor-made for the position. The poor guy has come a long way with this place and is easily one of the best contributors (if not the best) and yet is constantly overlooked.

It is all our loss that Roundy is not a mod.

Reading this made my day.  I love you, Oscar.

Interesting theory, except there's a flaw. What you're merely precieving as orange, is orange. In other words, it's just like saying "That's not orange! That's 'a secondary color that has been formed by the mixture of red and yellow pigments. '" Well, no, of course it's orange, you're only saying that it's different and giving the definition of orange. If you take it by your logic, everything is nothing, but what they're defined by, but if you take it by what I see it, everything IS what they're defined by. You catch my drift?

It's good to be open minded, but sometimes you have to be logical too.

This is a silly post.
"orange" exists since it is what you defined. You aren't proving it doesn't exist, you are DEFINING IT.

How do I know that the orange colour you see looks the same as the orange colour I see? Isn't it all bollocks?

I am not. I just don't know whether what I see is what you see too. Could that be the case?

Take a colour test, it'll set some kind of grounding in which we can define what you can or cannot perceive.

Or, just look in a crayon box.

If you could see what I see, you wouldn't say orange.

Orange being a proper combination of red and yellow wavelengths, i say the same things hit our eyes.

The wavelength of the light that arrives at your eyes will be the same, but an individual's perception of that colour could differ. That is my point.

so..... Orange is still the wavelengths. Not your perception of them.

The test is a little better judged.

Yes, but much more complicated.  Plus, the test wasn't featured in one of the 'Revenge of the Nerds' movies.
