planet question for FE
« on: August 21, 2008, 03:20:31 AM »
Why is it when you look at other planets with a decent telescope from your backyard you see the dark crescent (shaded side) like you do on the moon in perfect relation with the sun. The FE sun wouldn’t cause the same shade angle as the RE sun… just a thought.

Prolly FEs wont answer anything reasonable and they will just ignore this topic. Their conspiracy is not so advanced yet. :-*
Earth is round
No one is taking FE seriously because this conspiracy will fail anyway :P

I was actually going to post this exact same question but thought "why bother"?

If it is a spot light that sines TOWARD earth, then how come the spot light shines toward other planets and in all other directions? LOL Strange "spotlight" huh? ...Mabye the snowmobile men are using gigantic mirrors at the ice wall to reflect the light back onto the planets. ;D

maybe the sun is actually a flood light instead????  :)

VERY SIMPLE! it is because the giant that manages the spotlight on this planet actually has a lot of arms... he is like an octopus!!! mmm but what about the moons!!! maybe there are several giants that their job is to switch spotlights!!! what do you think about that theory !!

Is flat Earth considered to be a planet per FET?

RET planet = A planet, as defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), is a celestial body orbiting a star or stellar remnant that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion, and has cleared its neighbouring region of planetesimals.

Does FET use the RET definition for the other planets?

If flat Earth is not a planet (per RET definition), then what is flat Earth?

Here is the answer from the FET FAQ:
A: The Earth is not one of the other planets.  The Earth is special and unlike the other bodies in numerous ways.

Special in what way? What is the difference between flat Earth and the planet Mars?

Well, for one, it's flat.

Yes, Mars is flat.  But how is that different?

Yes, we all know there is life on the planet Mars.

Now why is Earth not considered a planet in FET when the other celestial bodies are considered to be a planet?

What is the definition of Earth according to FET?

It's still only a theory...

Now why is Earth not considered a planet in FET when the other celestial bodies are considered to be a planet?
Because Earth is special. Consult the FAQ.

What is the definition of Earth according to FET?

Discworld/flat Earth.

It's almost comical to see the FE theorists try to come up with new ways to explain things. Your original questions fall on deaf ears. You won't get any answers that will satisfy your logical thinking mind.

My favorite explination of the spotlight theory is that the darkened area that isn't lit up by the sun IE night time, can be SEEN THROUGH like it is invisible. That is why you can see the stars, sun moon etc. WOW, Just Wow.

I think it is sad to see this regression.
