I don't have any icons on my desktop simply because they would be useless. I never look at it, because I always have something in front of it anyway.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

By the same logic, the picture is useless since you never look at it.

Moar desktop icons as well as a hideously stretched out wallpaper.  :(

Sorry, but making pictures bigger is a huge no no.

That started bothering me. Especially space shots/art.

All you gotta do is go to google images, search for something, and limit it to your resolution. Awesome looking background in seconds.

you cant see moutains because you have no eyes

If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Why do you have a shortcut to your desktop on your desktop?

Why do you have a shortcut to your desktop on your desktop?
To ensure conversations about my desktop.  ;)

Actually, a friend accidentally deleted the desktop icon in his quick launch bar. I extracted a copy on my desktop when I was emailing it to him. I guess I never deleted it.

Why do you have a shortcut to your desktop on your desktop?
Because:

PIMP THAT OS

He put his desktop on his desktop so he can find his desktop while he's on his desktop

This better?

You think that a photograph is indisputable evidence?  Would you like me to show you a photograph of Barack Obama having sex with a gorilla?

Sort of. I don't know if you've noticed, but there's malware on your system. I can tell because of the distinctive Start button.

Yes, it does. That might be because it's been floating around 4chan/wg/ for ages, in dozens of incarnations, resolutions and edits.
Here's an explanation for ya. Lurk moar. Every single point you brought up has been posted, reposted, debated and debunked. There is a search function on this forum, and it is very easy to use.

I'd rather find a wallpaper with the right proportions.

Where's a good/free/safe site for them?  A lot of sites don't have my screen resolution.   :-\

Seriously? It just looks like the vanilla version of the picture, to be honest. Not that it's a bad thing, I quite like the clean look to it.
