I appear to have been banned from the new forums. Anyone else experience a hit?

Apparently, I made a low content post in D&D and got two days for it. Just wondering if they cracked down on anyone else.

Not that I'm aware of, but i suspect more bans are coming. The price of progress I suppose. If they ban the regs then the noobs will figure out how to post properly, I guess is the theory.

Oh, yeah. Some noob was saying that a cylinder and a thick disc weren't the same thing and that if the earth was a cylinder, it wouldn't be flat. I felt that words could not convey my feelings properly.

Funny thing to be banned for; I've done much worse. I always expected to be banned from this forum first...then again, no one ever is anymore.

I suppose NFES is still a virgin, whereas this site has already been raped repeatedly so one more can't hurt.

See!!  A high content post was misconstrued!  The face was better than saying, "That's stupid."

It does indeed. But the new site is still new, so it can be redeemed and made respectable, whereas this site is...this site. I suppose Mr.Wilde was meant to be made an example for everyone, to show that nobody is immune. Much like when he was imprisoned for the buggery way back when. 

It does give things the air of a police state over there, though.

I was just over there.  It seemed very subdued.  There should be a happy medium somewhere.

It appeared to me over there today that enforcement of the rules is not equitable or maybe they've been relaxed; it's hard to tell.

I don't think I'm even going to enter the 'serious' forums, and stick to everything in General Discussion and below.  That way, my chances of avoiding banishment are optimal.
