It's over by the way. Russia destroyed the Georgian air-force then agreed to a cease fire.

they want saakashvili to step down though. and they kicked georgian troops out of south ossetia and ahbkahzia (sp?). there are also reports (unconfirmed last time i checked) that russian troops and armor are still in georgia.

What are you talking about? Bush is a patriot and a hero.

I'd rather he was an hero.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Russia is now fighting their second "Soviet-Afghan" war.

um, not really. the afghan war was a war of geurilla tactics. this was a war of the georgians getting pissed off and attacking the seperatists and the russians seizing the oppurtunity (that they created according to some) to invade someone they need to make a point with.

No, my point was that they will wage a war in which they probably cannot win.

oh i see. agreed, in the long term, they can't win this one. but the short term, they kinda already have. they haven't gotten everything they wanted, but they let everyone know what happens when you side with the US. AND my personal favorite part of this whole thing is that russia completely called the bluffs of the EU and the US. gotta admire that.
