Russia Vs. Georgia
« on: August 08, 2008, 07:43:14 PM »
Georgian forces have been fighting to retake South Ossetia, a separatist region of Georgia. Many South-Ossetians with Russian citizenship have been killed during the fighting. Now both countries are fighting over the territory, and both have accused each other of bombing their respective civilian populations.

It's the south of Georgia, but not The South. Note that I capitalized that, it's a part of the English language you seem to take great pleasure in ignoring.

I hope Outkast are ok.

I'm rooting for Russia.

As they say in Peep Show "It makes the news more interesting if you take sides."

a bit off topic but I do not want to start a new one for this, but is the media licking China's ass up and down over these Olympics? It seems that way at least here in the U.S.

What do you want them to say? "And the 127 million dollar opening ceremony- is really really shit, actually"?

This isn't real, guys. Remember, this is just a distraction to keep us from trying to uncover the conspiracy that is the round earth. No one dies in wars because the governments are all holding hands and singing "kumbaya", united by their ultimate goal to hide a flat earth. They are just toying with the minds of billions for their own enjoyment. Imagine that, the Bush administration may be much more competent than it seems.

What do you want them to say? "And the 127 million dollar opening ceremony- is really really shit, actually"?

maybe they should say "hey, a war just started, BUT we have spiffy fireworks that were filmed a week before the ceremony, AND we have drummers that will be shot if they make mistake. so it's not like the people being killed and displaced are important enough to interrupt the opening ceremony."
