Accelerating Earth
« on: June 27, 2008, 11:33:48 PM »
How would this mesh with the FE model:

m=mrest/sqrt(1-v2/c2)
Only 2 things are infinite the universe and human stupidity, but I am not sure about the former.

Clearly you don't, or you wouldn't have asked an elementary question.

exactly, I do not see how this equation will work in the FE model at all

It would work the same as it works in RE models.

Okay how does that mesh with the FE model then

The same way it would in the RE model?

Remember the DIfference between the 2 models that this would effect; gravity v. ever accelerating earth, so taking this into consideration it would not be the same interaction

as your velocity increases your mass increases so if we were on an ever accelerating plane our mass would not remain constant, and since I do not weigh a little bit more every day it must not be the case

except from any FoR outside of the System the Mass will increase so unless dark matter is increasing exponentially then it is not possible

Which is why the force increases...

BTW, I assume you realize your argument was wrong.

You would never notice. That's what relativity means. Along with several things you missed in the other thread earlier...

Where in nature have we ever seen anything that will increase its own energy exponentially?

please use your vast knowledge of Relativity and explain to me the scientific basis for there to be a force in the universe that will exponentially increase.

Are you sure the force increases?  It seems to me that only constant force is needed.

if the force did not increase then the acceleration would decrease F=ma so we would feel lighter and lighter.

Now Imagine that M got larger but F remained constant what would happen to Dv/Dt to make sure the equation stayed equal?

My bad I did bnot even look at your derivation just the end result and I thought you were just replacing a with dv/dt... it was late
I need to work it but that derivation does not seem correct at all.

I'm with cbarnett.

The laws of thermodynamics state that there is only a limited amount of energy in the universe. The Earth would have to slow down eventually due to entropy anyway.
