You see a curve? Proof of FE!
« on: August 04, 2008, 11:01:00 PM »
Many people have claimed to see a curvature of the earth from tall towers or from aircraft. Well the RE model is clear, such a curve is not observable at these low altitudes. What then are people seeing?

It is tempting to dismiss such observations as nonsense or nincompoopual, but they are quite possible.

The FE model demonstrates that the accelerating earth would act as a visible block from light reflected of the earth at far distances. Because of this, the viewable horizon of FE is much closer than that of FE. FE actually predicts a visible curve (the visible area being a disk and appearing curved) at much lower altitudes.

So when you are seeing a curve to the earth at such low altitudes, you are actually witnessing proof of the earth's flatness and it's acceleration upwards!

I'm not surprised no RE'er has responded. They may as well admit their wrong.

You can't see the curvature of the round earth from low altitudes.

Someone has to argue this the next time some noob says they've seen the curvature of the Earth from a 5,000 feet.

I'm not suprised no FE theorist has responded. They may as well admit they're wrong.

Ok.

Grab a soccer ball.... place your hand on it and spin it. Youl notice that There is always a curve created. You can only see half of the ball, but uknow its got another side.

Basically what your saying is because its impossible for the naked eye to view a sphere (that is indeed any sphere in existence) on all sides the same time, then it must be flat. Therefore any object that is 3D (well that jsut about everything) is infact Flat.

Because your basis of argument is that as you cannont see it, it cant be there.

Indeed, one cannot see any curvature from such a low altitude, but you can from 60,000 feet. What was I seeing? (Please don't respond with "atmospheric refraction", I have already dismissed that response as nonsense.)

What were you seeing indeed?
Maybe you'll need to give a little more information, as you've currently given none.

Maybe you should provide proof to anything in the FE theory, which so far hasn't been done by anyone.
We told you to go to rehab, but you were all like "no, no, no!" ::)

Atmospheric refraction

Light doesn't really travel in straight lines on a large scale all that much in Fe.

Thank you for your cute drawing. Two things,

1. This doesn't really explain why the horizon cuts a line accross the sun, exactly where the sun is refracted to appear from the position this picture was taken on earth.

2. If refraction was indeed in effect, the sun would not have such an obviously a flat base, it would have an oliptical apperance. And the base would be just as 'hazy' in appearence as the top of the sun (in the picture I supplied).

Let me know when you RE'ers can agree on something, then I'll bother debunking it.

i have a question. if the earth is flat, then it must have an end some where. can some one please go an take a picture of the end of the earth, i would like to see it.

Hes trying to asatain some evidence in your claim.

Ive got no problem with you thinking the earth is flat just like i have no problem with christians beliving the world was created in 6 days.

But at least the christians didnt go "well if u want proof why dont u try and make the world in 6 days"

You seem to show no pride in FE other then telling others your right and their wrong.

Some proof other then a photo taking of the sun setting.

Proof would be: A FE supporter becoming an astronaut, going in to space and taking photos of the TRUE flat earth. and smuggling them back and exposing the world to it.

Not posting a picture of the sun and explaining medieval astronomy to me.

Fe's can agree on something.

They are right and the other 99.99999999999999% of the world is wrong.

Other then that they show Medieval astronomy to prove us wrong.

Assuming 1 FE'er would still make your assertion invalid.
