A New Britain
« on: May 11, 2008, 02:41:26 AM »
When the goverment was elected into power it clearly and unequivocally stated that it intended to build a new britain. Obviously this is the same britain we've had for hundreds of millions of years but if the goverment ever does manage to get started and build it will it be easier to dig it up off the continental shelf if it is flat. Or would a spherical earth be better. I'm assuming that the new britain will be put in the same place as the old britain to get the same climate as before.

I was kind of hoping they'd make it float, so that we could sail around with the weather and raid other countries for provisions...

No, they meant they'd rename it Airstrip 1 and make English language doubleplusgood.

I wish someone would build a new America....jeeezus....we seriously just need to scrap the whole project, go back to our parent countries, and then re-rape and re-pillage the natives and start over. But I think if we go back, my parents will stay in Kerry and be done with it.

But I think it's easier to build on a massive scale with a flat earth, because then you don't have to factor in the stress of a convex structure.
