The Ice Wall
« on: May 10, 2008, 03:03:00 PM »
Hi all FE'ers

You say that there is this multi-government conspiracy which keeps us "normal" people from seeing the Ice Wall. But where is the proof of this conspiracy? Eye-witnesses of "Goverment Agents"?

Can someone tell me how a compass works ?
Can someone tell me why "Aurera Borealis" isnt appearing all over the "disc" but only at the "North Pole"
Can someone tell me why noone has made a plane which could fly to "The Other Side"?
Can someone tell me why my pencil keeps falling down from my desk, when theres apparently no gravity?
Can someone tell me how high the atmosphere of the Flat Earth reaches, and how deep the crust goes?

Best regards,
Andreas

Probberly? There?

Anyway, these are standard FE answers for your questions:

1. North on a compass points towards the center of the disk, east and west describe a curved line concentric to the disk, south points towards the rim.
2. I don't know.
3. I expect this falls under the aegis of "conspiracy".
4. There is gravitation due to either the earth's upward acceleration (see einstein's equivalence principle) or the mass of the earth, depending on which model you go by. There are many threads on this.
5. I don't know, but they would probably say the atmosphere extends to the same altitude as in RE theory, to account for amateur balloon photography, etc.

Those are very good "standard"-replies from a FE'er. Because its filled with "I dont knows".

1. So you say that there is a North pole, and the South pole surrounds it. Earth must sure have a strange route in that "upward acceleration" for this to happen.
3. Stop saying "ITS THE CONSPIRACY!" and come with some real facts.

I'm not a FEer, so I only gave you the arguments that I knew off the top of my head. There's no point yelling at me or being an ass, because I already hold the same views as you. I'm just trying to do you a favour by filling you in so you can be better equipped to debate.

1. Think of a point at the north pole near the surface of the earth as the North of the magnet, and a point far below that point as the South of the magnet. If you can visualise the flux lines, it works much the same as a round earth.
2. You'll never get FEers to abandon the conspiracy. It's the only thing that enables them to reject the majority of the most compelling evidence for RE.

With regards to the Aurora Borealis, it can only possibly work as you already know it to work - due to the strength of the magnetic field at the North pole.

As an aside, it also appears around the rim as the Aurora Australis.

How would you know, if noone has seen "the rim"?

Because it can be seen from land near the rim (i.e. Oz, NZ, South America, etc)

But why is it visible from NZ and South America, when they arent close to any magnetic pole?
According to some other user in here, the South Pole is a place beneath the earth, but that would mean that Aurora Australis wouldnt be visible to anyone.
