Is there anything that would convice you the Earth isn't flat?

A few suggestions:

Piloting yourself a plane around the earth, in one direction.  Such that you come across your starting position after one revolution?
Flying out into space to view the planet?

Would either of these activities dissuade your beliefs?  What would it take to satisfy your need for evidence?

I keep seeing that one about flying around the Earth back to where you started... I fail to understand why this shouldn't be possible in FE?

i believe the world is an oblate spheroid. anything i say that contradicts this is purely for the sake of argument.

I think what this means is not to follow a latitude or longitude "line," but instead just to fly straight in one direction following one heading the entire time, so that if the world was/is flat you would come to the end eventually, but on a globe you would go around and end up back where you started, I think.

You'd have to follow some line not relative to the Earth's surface, though, since bearings/headings are relative to the North pole and are compatible with both FE/RE (in that if you flew along latitude 0, you'd eventually end up where you started in both models).
