Well, I am sure that someone has flew across the Antarctic before, since we have had the technology to do so for a long time.  Do you honestly think that we, as humans who live on this planet do not know whether or not that it's flat or round?

I may not be as intelligent as some of you, but the "theory" of Earth being round has many solid facts to back it up, or at least statements which make logical sense.  I just don't understand what lead some of you to disbelieve it and create another theory with basis' that are more shaky than the RE one. 

It is almost as if someone fabricated this, THEN tried to find ways to support it, without knowing what they were looking for.

I don't understand why even when one observes a flat earth, he is willing to make the illogical jump to "well the earth is round, but so big I can't notice"

Wow Ski, ever wondered that maybe it is because that it makes sense?

Arguing that you "see that it is flat."  Is irrelevant.  I mean, give me a break, as large as it is, you expect us to see it as being round from where we are standing?  We are tiny little humans on a giant planet, we can't perceive it's shape by eyesight.

That's like saying that I should know the outline of a continent by looking at it from my point of view.

I think Floyd is just going through a perfectly normal period of doubt and hesitation. It's easier to lash out than to actually take stock of one's world view.
I suggest those of us that use instant messengers like "AIM" take advantage of this opportunity to contact him occasionally to help him through these doubts. Perhaps we can email him links to "Earth: Not a Globe"   Anything that could help.

Now to unmask myself.  My name is not Floyd, that is not my picture.  I was originally a troll, and for my own amusement, I selected a picture of a person which I couldn't tell was a man or a woman either.  Then, added some totally random signature I ripped from another site.

My name is Tyler, I will most likely post here regularly, and will read the book most likely, I am a RE enthusiast none the less, but from this simple topic, I have decided to stop trolling and try to fight for my belief.

Sure Floyd. Or Tyler or whoever. I feel for you because I too had a similar period of doubts about flat earth. Even now I occasionally have a moment of doubt. I'm sure if you open-mindedly evaluate the evidence you will come to the same conclusion that many of us have.
