I've checked through your FAQ for my answer, and have yet to find it.

I did, however, find this:

Quote
Q: "How does global warming affect the ice wall?"

A1: The Ice Wall is really a mountain range.  It just happens to be covered in ice and snow.

A2: Global Warming doesn't happen. It and its counter-theory (Global Cooling) are effects that cancel each other out. Remember, these "greenhouse gasses" can reflect heat back out into space as well as keep it on Earth. Yes, there are recorded rises in temperature, but the only records we have go back, at most, around 150 years. This is very likely an occurrence that happens every [x>150] years, that's happened before (perhaps many times), and that the Earth has thus survived before.

Global Warming is actually an incorrect term for the event. It's more like Global Climate Change. And it's caused by gasses we release into the air from our cars, buildings, etc. to fog up the ATMOSPHERE causing the Ultra-Violet rays from the sun to bounce back to the earth before exiting.

Quote from: WikiPedia, my first result on a google search, just for some resources, so that I don't get the 'the rth iz flat' post again.
Global cooling in general can refer to an overall cooling of the Earth. In this article it refers primarily to a conjecture during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere along with a posited commencement of glaciation. This hypothesis never had significant scientific support, but gained temporary popular attention due to press reports that did not accurately reflect the scientific understandings of ice age cycles and a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s. Scientific consensus is that the Earth has not durably cooled, but undergone a period of global warming in the 20th century.

Global Cooling is a Round Earth theory. Can you explain to me how Global Cooling fits into the Flat Earth theory?
Once again, I've checked the FAQ and haven't found an answer.

The earth is flat.

No.

And if you seriously believe that you need to pull your head out of your ass.
Get to terms with this, scientists all over the globe say that the earth is round, if you look out over the ocean you will see a curvature on the horizon, or is this an optical illusion? I don't know, but I'll take my chances with the RE theory.

Yeah, I edited it, bite me.

I guess you don't know what a fallacy is then.

Kidding about what? Did you make the dumb decision that we believe the Earth is flat?

Fallacy; an untrue statement, AKA a lie.

Well FLAT-Earth forums anyone? Gee, I dunno, I'm sorry for entering a website with the URL theflatearthsociety.org and believeing that the majority of you actually believed in this. Yeah, both theories can be disproved in one way or another but the way you're disproving the arguments we're presenting is by ignoring them and replying "The earth is flat. "Gravity" is caused by the earth FLYYYYYING up into the universe."

I like the RE theory better considering how planets are made, a star goes boom, the debris from the surrounding planets gets blown into space some of the fragments encounter something with a stronger gravitational pull and over a course of millions of years clusterfucks into a sphere of rock, and since there's no friction in space the planet keeps on spinning due to the laws of physics stating that kinetic energy is transferred onto the object a moving object hits, thereby pushing it.

And if something spins fast enough it'll push the shit on top of it downwards.
Proof? Go on a carouselle, sit your ass down, get someone to spin you around REALLY fast at first you'll be pulled away from it, but if you manage to go fast enough you'll get pushed down.

I registered so I could participate in this hilarious event, and notice "sphere" meaning round object, not circular.

Meh, I'm no good at arguing over the internet, if I could type this shit out in my motherlanguage I would make more sense of this, but my vocabulary is rather limited.

Hi, I'm a REer mostly because I don't do drugs.

ORLY?

Quote from: Burns
1) If the earth is flat what is keeping us down on the surface? IE the further away we get from the middle of the "flat earth" wouldn't the gravity get weaker unlike on a RE where it is equal no matter where you are?

The Earth accelerates upwards.  Read the FAQ.

Quote from: Burns
2) How do you explain volcanoes?

Liquid magma inside the Earth.

Quote from: Burns
3) Why are the other planets round and not earth?

Other planets aren't the Earth.  Read the FAQ.

Quote from: Burns
4) How does stuff stay together (If it's flat like a box wouldn't it go out one of the faces?)

WTF?  "Flat like a box"?

Quote from: Burns
5) How does the moon revolve around us/how do the elclipeses WHICH START OUT AS A ROUND SHADOW occur on the moon?

The moon revolves over the Earth in a gravitational pull with the sun.  The shadow object causes phases and eclipses.  Read the FAQ.

Quote from: Burns
6) How do we stay revolving around the sun?

We don't.  Read the FAQ.  The sun revolves above the Earth.

Quote from: Burns
One more! Q: "What about gravity?"

The Earth accelerates upwards.  Read the FAQ.

Quote from: Burns
A: The Earth is accelerating upwards at 1g (9.8m/s^2) along with every star, sun and moon in the universe. This produces the same effect as gravity.
Why is it going up and how do you know it's going up that fast?

It's going up as a result of Dark Energy, and if it weren't going that fast objects would not fall at g.  Read the FAQ.

I don't think a FE model on climate change would differ much from a RE model. So I didn't reply. The mechanisms as they relate to greenhouse gases would be similar or the same. And for the record I think it's bunk. The contribution of man made gases to the atmoplane is negligible compared to naturally produced gases, and the atmoplane is large enough to absorb any output with little effect on its total composition.

You guys back up a lot of your shit with amazingly large amounts of hugely complicated formulas and proofs and stuff derived from Relativity Theory, while giving half assed answers like "We think the goverments in it for the money" on some other things. Also I'm starting to see a pattern of around 5 or 6 FEt veterans who run around taunting REt members, ignoreing them, then high fiving each other. Since you have the burden of proof with nothing to show, is this how you react? Banding together and essentially trolling on your own forum?

The burden of proof is actually on you to demonstrate your ridiculous claims that the earth is a globe and that space travel is possible.
