There's sort of a therapist/client confidentiality thing, so I suppose it's a little secret.

Lol, that isn't how chi works. It's sort of like the Anglo concept of a soul. It can only be good. If you're not good, you don't have very much chi.

Get your teaching degree at Nipissing U in Canada. It's one of the best teaching schools in Ontario, and I guarantee you'd have an amazing time.

@Beno: Judging from the website, it seems like a great suggestion! It's extremely affordable, but I'm not sure if I could survive in the cold of Canada being of Southern origin. However, I will definitely add it to my "apply to" list, especially if Education ends up being the route I take.

@Supah: No.

@Secret User: I think Chicago would be too large of a city for me, although I hear that that is an excellent school.

We had a South African roommate first year and he could manage the cold. It's really not that bad, and North Bay is a great university town. If you do, on the outside chance, end up going there, I'll hook ya up with some last year ed students I know up there.

Yeah, it's on The List, but my mother intends on following me wherever I go to college, and this was the conversation, paraphrasing of course:

"So Mom, I was told about this neat school called Nipissing if I end up wanting to be a teacher."
"Oh cool. Where is it?"
"North Bay, Canada."
":o You're not going to Canada."
"It's like, under ten thousand."
"No."

If no one minds me hijacking this thread for my intentions, what are some notable schools for Political Science and/or International Relations?

For a major like that, you'll want to look at the schools that have the best graduate programs. In terms of International Relations, University of Minnesota is a great school. And of course, Yale, Harvard, Duke and the like would be the top of the list.  Oh, and George Washington University, since it's actually in DC.

Regardless of where you go, do not stay within a 4-5 hour drive of your parents. If you don't, you're not gonna get that 'moving away' experience which, frankly, is half the reason to goto school. serious.

This, if it were possible in England.

I haven't lived AT my parent's OR I haven't lived with my parents, not both together.

Um...no. It'd just be a year of intensive anatomy plus usually around one thousand hours of practice time with the other classmates.

Wow, a thousand hours of massaging your classmates. Sounds like this place would have a lot of sex.

If you are interested in UC schools...

Berkley is the best academically, but probably the worst campus I have ever been to. Community colleges look better than Berkeley.
UCLA is the second best and probably has the best campus bar none in the country.
Santa Barbara also has a nice campus
UC Davis is the best if you want to be a vet or are interested in agriculture

UCSF is for graduate school and UCSC is for hippies.

I don't think anyone oos would be interested in the other UC schools...

UC schools tuition is astronomically high these days...

Wow, thank you :). Lol, how do you even know all of this?

Yeah, Calif's economy is effed. That's why Aaron couldn't afford to go to CalPoly.

In terms of the cities themselves and not the schools, what are Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz like?

Edit: Also, my boyfriend's parents will prolly live near Irvine.

I've never been to Santa Barbara or Santa Cruz. The only UCs I have ever looked at are berkeley, los angeles, frisco and davis.

My claim of Santa Barbara having a nice campus stems only from the fact that it is directly on the ocean, and it is in southern California.

Santa Cruz is a notorious location for hippies.

I'm not saying your school has a football team, I'm talking about the one you are fucking.

Yeah, but that's not too much less than the population of the town, and most of them are old, so....

Fix'd.
