Even for an RE'er

A obfuscating box of ignorance was placed over the earth. Before the box was lifted by gifted intellectuals the earth was flat, round, and various other shapes. So admit it, the earth was at least, once flat.

Another victory for FE!!!

I believe that on a quantum level teh earth is both flat and round.

You can prove a lot of stuff with quantum theory.  I suppose I'll make a small concession here.  The Earth was flat, until man went into space and observed that it was round.

I am sorry to disagree, but throwing a bone to these dogs usually ends up with bite marks in your hand.

Uncertainty at a subatomic level does not mean uncertainty at the macroscopic level, and certainly not at a cosmic level. The uncertainty in the state of one particle, when averaged with the uncertainties of countless trillions of other particles, ends up in no uncertainty at all.

Anyone who knows what the "Schrödinger's cat" thought experiment means already knows that these guys are embarrassing themselves without any help.

I disagree.  If you think that there are an infinite number of other worlds, as MWI implies, that "countless trillions of other particles" suddenly starts looking very small.

No. Under quantum theory, if there is a possibility of direct observation, then the quantum state collapses. There does not actually need to be an observer. There are many theories to explain this behavior, such as decoherence theory, and so on, but what is certain is that an observer does not need to exist for the collapse to occur, there just has to be the possibility of observation.

This of course, assumes the "perfect" micro to macroscopic quantum communicator, which some theories forbid.

All this is irrelevent when you consider that the whole integrity of the FE theory necessitates the denunciation of so much scientific obsevation.

Not to mention the ludicrous amounts of speculation.

Come on, you do accept that the FE society essentially created observations to justify a pre-determined hypothesis, so all this deliberation about the irreducibly complex nature of Quantum Theory is essentially pointless.

Does anyone here actually have a degree in Physics, or did you all qualify from the University of Wikipedia?

Not necessarily, you could do the physics degree, then afterwards go a bit nuts (or to use the proper medicine terminology - "cabbaged up in the head") and start thinking the world is flat.

10: My observations have concluded that both the Round earth model and Flat earth model are worth considering. Since most consider the RE model, and blindly, I consider the Flat earth model. In so doing, I have discovered the Flat earth model to have many superior concepts to the RE model.
