Hi Tom
Ref Lunar Radar Echoes Lunar Orbit Distance:
We are beneath a gibbous moon as we speak. There are tonnes of data out there consistant with a lunar orbit of roughly 250,000 miles or roughly 380,000 odd kilometers. But it is not my data. If I accumulate and distribute my data (by reconfiguring my dish/apparatus from passive radio astronomy, mostly solar, to active radar) would you accept the data? Reason I ask is that I would need to, again, borrow equipment (2000 MHz magnatron, High-power RF microwave cavity amplifier... especially a HIGH-POWER L PULSE AMPLIFIER, Low loss co-ax cable, etc...)
So, I ask again, I can provide the data, after considerable effort, but will you accept my data as given, or will you doubt my word re data provided? (In which case, what is the point of the exercise/effort?)
