So the earth is has infinite depth as well?  I'm so confused. ???
Normally when I'm not sure I just cop a feel.

Yes two dimensions of three are infinite.
Depth and width, not height.

I suppose I should have been more clear.  However what I said is correct.

Re-read my X-Y-Z post, Username is using a different co-ordinate system than you are, which is why I like to define my co-ordinates.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. I think we're not using the same co-ordinate system... OK, lets define X as parallel to a trip from East to West, Y as parallel a North - South trip, and Z as directly into the ground. Which two are infinite? I think you mean X and Y are infinite, correct, because if Z is, Sokarul is right.
Two dimensions of the 3 spacial dimensions are infinite.

Width as X
Depth as Y
Height as Z

Oh, and by the way, Username, it does matter, because if it were just the other way, than we would experience infinite gravity, which wouldn't be fun.

I disagree; as long as two of the dimensions are infinite and the third isn't it doesn't matter what name I give it.

What name you gave it, but that was the point of me giving names and definitions :D. Since I defined Z as pointing into the ground, so that would mean that we would have to go to the other side of the Earth, follow? So, yes, A civilization could exist, but our could not with the definition that Z points straight into the ground from any place I stand.

Depth is fine to use there.

Depth: extent downward or backward or inward;
Height: distance from the base of something to the top
Width: the extent of something from side to side

Infinity cannot have depth as it doesn't have a surface anywhere.

Correct (I'd give you a gold star but I'd have to take it away again because this was not the point being made by username), a hypothetical planar object can have a limited depth whilst having an infinite length and breadth however.

Infinite volume=infinite mass=infinite gravity

For the spirit of debate, I'll back Flat Earth believers on this one. An infinite volume can have finite mass as long as the average density approaches 0 mass/volume.

Right, so why wouldn't there be a surface across the 2 ∞ dimensional model he speaks of or are you just stating the obvious by blarging out infinity has no surface like a hobo at the corner of a street for the hell of it?

Sokorul, please stop spamming serious threads...

American Heritage

I did not mean length and width.  Depth and Width is fine.  It denotes two dimensions that are infinite.  It doesn't matter which two.  Whether or not it has a surface is irrelevant.

Please stop with your inane and ultimately useless arguments attacking, ironically and hypocritically, grammar, word choice, and syntax rather than content.  I don't even see why you are allowed here.

it most certainly does matter which to dimensions you are talking about.  If the earth was infinite depth below us, then gravitation by mass is impossible like I said.(although its still impossible with an infinite anything.)
