Atheism Corrupts Historical Scholarship
« on: February 10, 2008, 12:49:49 AM »
The following historical analysis of flat earth belief by an atheist is heavily prejudiced as it desires reguardless of the facts to twist historical scholarship towards a preconceived idea and fails to mention knowledgeable historians who refure his ideas.  He even condemns the scholarship of the erudite nineteenth century atheist scolar Andrew Dickson White and ignores other authors like Professor Raymond Beazeley.  (I have White's two volume 'History of the Warfare of Science With Theology in Christendom' and my own very knowledgeable atheist history professor in college (Professor Steibing) asserted that White's book is the most comprehensive treatment of such subjects available in english even to this day.

The so-called "Ethical Atheist" takes the theme of Burton Russell's more level headed book mentioned below to ludicrous and false extremes having nothing to do with historical facts or evidence which very much contradicts it.

I have actually been considering posting information which corresponds to some extent with Jeffrey Burton Russell's book Inventing the Flat Earth:  Columbus and the Modern Historians.

I was representing a caricature of my own beliefs in order to elicit a serious response. This was trolling.
