i was reading the FAQ and i knew i had read this somewhere before.  The explanations, the government conspiracy, the fake NASA photos..  then i read the one bit about being on the back of 4 elephants and a turtle and it hit me!  Disc World by Terry Pratchett...  You're all idiots...

Yeah, thats a joke.

That reference in the faq was a joke.  Obviously flat earthers such as ourselves have a sense of humor and likely have familiarity with flat earth references in semi-pop culture (such as Terry Pratchett.)

ok then you might want to take that out of such a serious setting...  My next question is this.  When i'm in an airplane i cant see 2 sides of the earth ending.  When fly to hawaii, i see ocean all around me for miles and lose sight of land.  So this means A. The ocean has engulfed the world until i land on it  Or B. The ocean is falling into space...  explain.

Air is not clear.  The land is obstructed by air.

cycles of the moon.  They are always in degrees of a cirlce.  Meaning there is never just a HALF moon split down the middle and theres never a straight line in any direction blocking segments of the moon.  It's always a circular shape missing.  Explain why the moon has these phases because the FE theory only acknowledges the fact that it appears and disappears.  I dont understand how these cycles would work with a FE.

Actually Terry Prachett just ripped off the four elephants and a turtle thing from the ancient religious beliefs of the Hindu's.

It's not like it was posted once before. IT"S POSTED EVERY FIVE FREAKING MINUTES! Jeez, one look at any board and you could have found it...

Now the idea of an icewall seems a bit primitive and Science fiction-ish..  If the government never lets you get near the icewall or see it, how do you know it exists?  And how would so many people involved with keeping the knowledge of a FE secret only leak so much as to spark this tiny community of believers?

Um.... Not so. When was the last time you actually looked at the moon's phases? Not that I agree with the FE theory, but your challenge to it is flawed, incorporating a statement that is blatantly wrong. Look up images of the "half moon". When it is in this phase, the moon appears as a half circle, divided on its diameter. Perhaps you are thinking of a lunar eclipse?
