Who is Tom Bishop???

I've been wondering about this ever since I got here, and finally decided it should be worth a legitimate discussion. Who is Tom Bishop?

It's my theory that Tom Bishop is not a single user at all, and is a multiple user account operated by some of the older members of the site. Which members? I don't know for sure.

Although on some days, Tom Bishop does appear to resemble a single user.

I can't make up my mind.

Tom Bishop was not a real person.  He was a bot designed to argue the FE side.  Yes, some of the admin occupied his account occasionly to say something "human".
